We were racing at Shenington Kart Club so location was great, along with the large car park. Food and drink was good also. Staff helpful so no complaints all round from us.

Some reviews refer to the property as characteristic, I feel it could do with a refurb. The rooms are quite cramped with one uncomfortable chair. Our room was very noisy from outside traffic, loud music and disrespectful neighbours (no fault of the hotel obviously). No toiletries.

It's in a good location for our half way stop from Wales to Hastings. Also close to the town for shops and an array of restaurants and pubs. Large king size bed. Nice big bath with plenty of hot water. Adequate for one night. Some of the staff friendly, some not so.

Shower was quite poor, with the stream being very thick and strong and not spread out, which caused it to be slightly painful on the body and a lot of splashing back, but other than that, can't fault the room.

Breakfast was fantastic with lots of options. The option of pre-paying for breakfast for it is excellent as it takes the hassle out of it. Plenty of parking available. Bed was comfortable, room was mostly clean.

When we checked into the hotel. We were told the only room they had left was one with a,bath and not shower .but could move us to a different room the next day .which was OK but I think it should be advertised that not all rooms have showers. Because a lot of people prefer to just have showers

The hotel is showing signs of wear and tear which have not been tackled. The carpet in my room was threadbare next to the bed, there were major cracks in the ceiling which had been papered over and the walls were not much better.

Great location, helpful staff, very clean and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was very good too. The small bathroom was functional and the shower worked very well with plenty of pressure.

Lovely looking building tastefully decorated, uneven floors and wooden beams enhance the ambiance of this period building. Cannot fault the staff, professional and friendly, great customer service. Food at the hotel is worth having especially the warm pear, feta and honey open sandwich.

Noisy overnight as room at front of hotel on a busy main road. Wi-fi very intermittent, kept losing connection.
