I liked the quaintness of the building. The grounds were nice and the views from dining room, lounge and patio were fantastic. Room was clean and comfortable and serviced each day. Coffee, tea and snacks were provided which was a nice extra touch. Even though I had a more economical room, the view from windows was of a bamboo forest and flowers - very pleasant.

The only reason I didn't give an "excellent" rating was that the walk up to the hotel was a steep hill which is a little difficult with a suitcase. Could be challenging for an elderly person or someone with mobility issues. However, I suspect this could be the case for most hotels in Penzance as it is a very hilly area.

The apartment was perfect, clean and well appointed. Bedding linens, bed and pillows divine! Good breakfast and also cereal and milk for us in the room. Friendly hosts and close to town, though we chose to drive in for lunch.

The apartment was ice cold when we arrived. Owners control when the radiator (one) will come on or go off. They turned it on early for us (3:00) but it takes a long time for one small radiator to warm the place. We had to bundle up until then. I would raise the price 10£ and provide a more comfortable welcome for guests. Enjoyed our choice and our stay regardless and would still recommend.

The only fault is, there's no lift and it's 24 stairs to reception . The staff offered to carry our cases to our rooms and appreciated.

Oven wasnt working. Didn't have dinner because of it. And wasted shopping to cook but couldn't cook. Requested room with private balcony but got a open terrace with no lock on the gate. Easily accessible to the public
