Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing as I read the reviews and they are spot on!
The location was excellent, basic, little dated but only needed it to sleep as we were out all the time. Breakfast was ok but the service was excellent- it’s a get what you pay for place and that’s what matters!!! We had a sea view of which made it all worth it….

United KingdomThis was our second visit to De L'Etang. Stayed in a twin room with a sea view which had coffee/tea making facilities and a fridge, which was very useful. It's a fantastic location ,about 15 minutes walk from Liberation Square. Good range of options available at breakfast. Lovely, friendly hosts. Varied options for evening meals in the area around Harve Des Pas.

United KingdomMy only criticism regarding the room is the over sized TV situated on the chest of drawers. Would have been better if smaller & fixed to the wall. It considerably reduced the available surface area needed for stuff such as hair brushes, make up & toiletries etc. More hangers available in the wardrobe would also be useful. But that is an issue everywhere!
The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was full table service and enjoyable, but I would have preferred the toast & tea/coffee to be brought to the table after the cereal and main course instead of all together first thing. I suppose I could have asked for it to be brought later but, hey-ho I didn't. The room was exceptionally clean and I was impressed with clean towels every day, re-stocked tea tray everyday and a full sized fridge in the room. Whilst the en-suite was very small, it was clean and perfectly acceptable.

United KingdomNo complaints! A comment- perhaps a little more fresh air ventilation in the room, but- open the windows and it would no longer be so quiet,so overall it was fine for me.
Very friendly and hospitable stay. My stay was all I wanted it to be in Jersey:- a clean bed with linen changes daily, simple room , lovely breakfast and super food available in the evenings. I also liked it because although my room was directly above the terrace and restaurant it was calm and quiet! The B&B was very hospitable and as a lone guest, it was comfortable to be there. Bus service into St Helier very close and convenient + the view was great!!

United KingdomOnly 2 out of the 3 people that were booked into the room actually stayed. It would have been nice to offer some reduction as no breakfast was needed for the person who did not stay. Glass shelf in bathroom was unhelpfully placed - very easy to bang your head whilst brushing teeth.

The room was very clean and had a nice sea view. The staff were very welcoming and we particularly appreciated the late checkout from the room when our ferry was cancelled in a storm. We enjoyed our meal in the taverna and our ample breakfast and we felt all in all it was good value for money.
