A fantastic location, peaceful and picturesque. The hotel/house was magnificent and decorated tastefully and and stylish. Our room was beyond expectation. Beautiful views from large bay windows and a very handy and comfortable Chez Long to take it all in from. Spacious yet cosy, well decorated and set out. The roll top bath made for easy relaxation. Afternoon tea was fab, followed by a walk through the gardens and down to the river. The staff were both professional and friendly. Very helpful and cheery. Breakfast was a treat, the food was really tasty. We totally recommend a visit and stay here, and will be doing so ourselves again. Thank you everyone for making our stay as great as it was.

If being picky the shower head was only just high enough for me and I'm. 6ft, this is being extremely picky.

The amazing views, the team gave 1st class service, the suite was immaculate.

Lighting could have been a bit better and another chair in a double room would definitely have been appreciated. But would return.

No lift, but plenty of stairs and steps to negotiate before arriving at room. No offer to take luggage to room. Had choice been given I would have chosen a room with a better view.

Courteous and pleasant staff, helpful with our menu choices and wine selection. Good selection of drinks at the Bar. Check-out Receptionist very knowledgeable about the history of the building/hotel.

The duvet had too much tog. I was sweating a good deal and got up for a pee to come back to wet sheets which made it uncomfortable. I would recommend putting a lower tog duvet on the bed with a 'throw'. My wife did not enjoy her evening meal as the fish was very dry but the hotel gave us a refund which was very gracious.

Excellent location and mostly comfortable. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. Lovely dining room with an ideal view to the gardens.

There wasn’t a lift and 92 year old mother found the stairs difficult.

Beautiful property in a beautiful setting and the staff were friendly, polite and accommodating. We were given a free upgrade of room which made the stay extra special. Breakfast was very nice, tasty, hot, presented well and the produce was fresh and of high quality. Room attendant was polite and replenished the room with cold water, both still and sparkling. She also bought mother a fresh cup of coffee which was a lovely gesture.

I don’t feel that there was anything I didn’t like

It was unique and fab to see an older house being shared so all can see the charm .. did you go for one of the larger rooms when you compare the price to other hotels it was well worth it. Room service was great and breakfast was lovely. I don’t think there was one thing I asked for stuff that was an issue.

Our radiator wasn't working and the hot water to the sink was luke warm. We were only there one night and didn't realise this until gone 1am, so there wasn't much they could have done about it.

Great staff, friendly and helpful. Lovely old building and nice grounds.

Leaving! I wish I could stay longer. I will return.

The staff were lovely, helpful, kind and were able to respond with everything I needed during my stay. Dovecliff is a hidden idle in a beautiful area near the Peaks. I hope it remains unspoilt and undiscovered! The breakfasts were perfect, in a really relaxing setting to start the day.
