Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBath mat plus hand towel might have helped but not essential. Couldn't get safe to work but I think a fee of £2.00 might have been needed to activate it.
Comfortable bed. Room was quiet generally. Very good location a few minutes from Kings Cross and St Pancras with pleasant square accross the road.

United KingdomI only stayed for a night due to a work appointment. The location is ideal and very close to central London institutions and tube stations. My room was a bit noisy because it was facing Argyle Square Gardens, but it got quieter after 10pm.

United KingdomN/A as we knew we did not need food or the usual conveniences of an expensive hotel. Cleanliness was the biggest criteria for such a short stay.
Somebody at reception when we got there to book us in- it was quiet-, and the location was perfect. Room small but adequate. We had to bear in mind that it was the location and convenience that we were paying for, in a busy area in London./

AustraliaRoom was tiny and cramped, beds were narrow, up 2 flights of stairs no lift, no a/c but a window which could be opened (but didn't feel safe to leave it open). Neighbourhood fairly unsavoury and didn't feel particularly safe (though we had no issues).
Staff were helpful, pleasant and on the door 24/7, which was helpful in this neighbourhood. Location was very central, only 5 mins walk to St Pancras so very good for our early morning Eurostar connection.

United KingdomThere were hairs on some of the bed blankets. It did make me wonder therefore when the blankets we're last washed, nothing was smelly though. Beds not overly comfortable, I didn't sleep well, though my children were fine.
It was dry and quiet. It's a budget hotel in an excellent location. Friendly staff. I stayed in room 26, upstairs.

NetherlandsMain reason to stay in this area is te be able to catch early Eurostar. This is a simple hotel, about as cheap as you can get in that area (if you don't want to end up in a hostel). Within that range it meets expectations. Rooms are small, but clean, shower is hot. Staff are very friendly.

United States of AmericaThe blankets were scratchy and the hotel is across from a park where the individuals were sketchy and smoking weed. Had I been alone, I would never have stayed. The neighborhood did not feel safe at all. The booking said breakfast included. The night guy said 5£ per person, kids free. The morning reception guys says no, everyone pays. Breakfast was not worth the 5£ paid! Asked for two rooms as we were 2 adults and 3 younger kids. Rooms were on separate floors. I had to sleep separate from my spouse so we could keep the kids safe.

United KingdomProximity to St Pancras
Very basic, as expected, but bed was rather uncomfortable and noise from other guests arguing and vomiting did not make for a good night’s sleep. Although the latter is not necessarily the hotel’s fault, better sound insulation would go a long way.

United KingdomHotel only provided 1 pillow for the bed. Room was small.
Single room very small but only booked for 1 night as I needed to catch the early morning eurostar to Brussels. Didn't pay for breakfast but a few fast food restaurants are nearby. The receptionists were pleasant and cordially. The room was OK for one night but I wouldn't book if I needed a longer stay. The single bed only had one pillow and old-fashioned sheets with a heavy hinderdown on top, but I didn't mind as I was only booked for the night.

United KingdomBeing in London and on short notice, prices were understandably high for what was essentially a closet with a bed in it. The bed was harder than I'd have liked, and the tiny shower floor was dangerously slippery even when dry. It was otherwise exactly what I expected.
It was exactly what I needed: A simple room at short notice to spend the night near King's Cross, London. The quality of the furniture was far from new or pristine, but the place was clean and quiet. The toilet/sink and shower were in separate tiny cupboards on either end of the small room, which I found interesting.

This hotel is acceptable if you have to stay overnight in London in order to fly out. I would not stay longer. The price did not reflect the hotel. The only positive remark is the location: just 5 minutes from King's Crossing.
