Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

First its undergoing refurbishment and I was woken both morning at 7am with hammering from the room below. This will obviously be over soon, but it's too early to allow work to start. Shoes a lack of consideration for guests. Second - I had a newly refurbished room which was of a good standard, but the bathroom design is poor. The way the door opens means you have to step into the shower to get access to the sink and toilet. Third, the bar closes at 11.30. One of the advantages of a hotel should be extended bar hours. I was returning after 11.30 and would have appreciated a beer!

The first room (standard double) we were given was just awful. Ground floor, not much light. They should be ashamed to even offer it to anyone. In the end we opted to ‘upgrade’ the room by paying an extra £40 a night. That room , was great.
Great location. Well placed for most of central London. All in all not bad value.

Evening food wasn't great but that's not the purpose of this stay, maybe a bit more of a healthy choice would be nice or simple baguettes available
My daughter partly uses a wheelchair (she has long covid) and the Staff were excellent in caring about making sure we had rooms next to each other, had an early check in, she knew someone was responsible for her in the event of an evacuation, checking everything was OK (aircon needed tweaking) - they were warm, caring, professional and friendly.

Wifi was bad(.
good place to stay, near is the undergraound station. And it is a good place to walk. Near is Hyde park for the wolk. the room is quite well, the hotel is clean, and the service is pritty good. Also the staff of the hotel very kind and friendly. Recommend that hotel, with a good location, and not so expensive.

i asked twice for an iron and ironing board having been told by the reception that there was definitely one in the room and there wasn't. As I had no phone in the room I had to keep going down to reception to ask again for the iron until at last it arrived after 10pm. There was also no milk in the room for tea and coffee and I was told I had to call to the bar for that but as there was no phone i couldn't, badly organised,

Struggled to get a bottle of wine even though we were residents.. never experienced that before but it was sorted for us. Shower head pointed out and was difficult to change direction.

The room was adequate and the facilities were ok. Not a great nights sleep, the bed was quite comfortable, but the pillow's were rock hard. I paid £16.95 for breakfast, nothing hot or cooked apart from toast. I didn't notice a small sign until the morning mentioning the restaurant refit, had I have done , I would have got breakfast elsewhere for a good deal less.
The location for my purposes was perfect.

Was not 100% clean, just a basic hotel room nothing special, offices are behind so can see right in the windows if you don’t close the curtains.
It is in a good area if you’re needing to stay close to where the medical centre is for visas

Poor choice of food at breakfast , however appreciate tgat the kitchen was under renovation. The food didn't look very fresh. Decor very tired , however renovations in progress.
