One male guest kept walking around in very small underwear. As a lone young woman I felt very uncomfortable and intimidated by this, especially when he pushed past me. It was very scary. This was twice, once at midnight and once early this morning. Staff were not on sight at this time I believe as staff are only on sight 9am-12pm. I found other guests rude. One woman in my dorm opened the curtains of my bed just to see who was there. I could of been sleeping or getting dressed. I would think with the many rules of this hotel that these rules would be added in. There was nothing wrong with the hotel at all, just the inconsiderate and scary behavior of some other guests. I need to come to London a lot, I would stay here again if it was not for the behavior of other guests. What a shame.

We were staying in a private double room, which was located right next to the bathrooms, so we heard every little sound from the toilets all day and night long as the walls are really thin.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. They assisted with the adapters, towels and a hairdryer imediately when we requested them. Additionally, we had some issues with the lock on our door and the staff reacted very quickly - the manager arrived and the problem was fixed. While the hostel is a bit further from the centre, we had no issues exploring as there are multiple bus stops around, and most buses operate 24/7. The deposit for the key was refunded back to my card the same day we checked out. The food in the bar downstairs was exceptional. While we only had breakfast there, it was made quickly and was perfect. We also felt completely safe here during our stay, even though we read some questionable reviews prior to our arrival.

The beds are not the newest, the TV in both rooms we booked was not working properly. The walls are thin and the hostel is busy and noisy all night. Cleaning staff is very loud.

No kitchen. Only microwave. No plates or anything. You have to go the bar to ask for stuff.

The location is pretty good with access to 3 stations within a 10 minute walk. The place is old and would need an update but it was clean.

The bathrooms/shower rooms were dirty. Cleaning staff entered rooms without knocking. As a woman this was not acceptable behaviour. Not enough power points and no mirrors near a power point to dry hair.

The stairwell could use a paint job. And that is not even a complaint, but more of an observation.

The beds were solid with proper sized curtains (something other hostels I stayed at might try considering) and the room had a spacious feel. The wi-fi was excellent, even two floors up (something so-called 'fancy' hotels I stayed at might try considering). When I was checking out, I asked for suggestions regarding a vacation a year from now and was helped very friendly and adequately (for which, again, many thanks).

You don‘t get the 5 pound deposit for your key back, 4 showers for everyone (>30 people), at least 2 showers had no temperature adjustments, the metal beds are very loud, the lockers were too damaged to be used

The place was very clean, it was my first time didn't know what to expect. Some of the staff where absolutely rude. Like I went down the bar to by me a drink, I mate a colored lady who demonstrated rudeness with impurities, I asked to be helped with a drink which I will pay for, she ignored me I thought it was not her duty to serve costumers,henc,in my politeness i ask is there any one that can help me she flared up and I frozen and after something when I now get back from my oblivion I told her she has quenched my test.

The place is quite, very clean. Friendly staff apart from not returning the key deposit back if you pay by card. In my case she just printed a false receipt from the card reader pretending to refund the deposit. When Im around again, I will pop in to give her some extra money, she seems short of it.

Mixed room means only men, in fact. I don't know if there's any influence on that from the hostel prospective but girls - be aware of that. I woudn't have a problem with that if those were civilized people but they aren't. They burp, fart, don't seem be very clean, talk during nights and watch videos on their phones without the headphones. I was there for two nights so I had two "sets" of people and both were the same. Nightmare. Also triple beds don't help. They shake terribly. Besides, the building is quite old, facilities no more than acceptable.

I wanted a cheap stay near Greenwich and it was provided. The hostel responds quickly for the messages and calls. The reception was quite helpful. The mattress and the pillow seemed comfortable.

Well, it was my second time to be honest, and last time I was greeted by the two of the funniest and kindest people on Earth. The place used to display a great deal of hospitality and that is why I chose it for the second time, despite the triple bunker beds (of which I always receive the top bed for some reason) and the fact that it meant a two-hour travel in the city of London to reach my destination. Now, we can safely say that the lovely and warm reception belongs to the past: I would dare to bet money on that probably even the guitar abandoned on the couch in the lobby was treated with more friendliness than me upon checking-in. I guess change is an organic part of life and that's the way that it is.

It is situated quite far from the center but the neighbourhood has a relaxed, agreeable vibe; I think Deptford and Lewisham have a lot of potential.
