hotel parking is very restrictive only having 19 places and served on a first come basis however parking is available in the stevenson quarter which is 12 pounds for 24 hours and is a five minute away from the hotel parking is also available across the road from the hotel in the train station car park

great location right in the heart of the city but remember newcastle is built on hills be prepared the room was of a good size spotlessly clean however our rooms view was over looking large vents which gave a continuous hum breakfast was buffet style help your self coffee etc was brought to the table in large pots the food was of good quality our greeter Donna was excellent being very attentive but not annoyingly so the hotel team are all very friendly like the majority of people in the north east

The bar staff charged 4 different amounts for 4 rounds of rhe same drinks ranging from £4.35 to £7.50 for half a lager and a lime and soda water. The didnt want to be there serving at the wedding and appeared to make up their own prices

The staff were friendly and hotel was very clean and tge smoothest lift ive ever been in as it didn't seem to move but got you to rhe right floor. The breakfast in The Hidson bar was fresh , tasty and easily laid out for you to choose.

The room was warm but we were able to open the window which was ok. Some of our friends either were unable to open theirs or in the single rooms had no window at all so best to check if you would have an issue with this!

Our room was spotlessly clean and faced out onto the main street, which I liked, but it may be a bit noisy for some people. Hotel is perfectly placed if you're looking for lively pubs and restaurants. Also opposite the railway station

Unfortunately the local nightlife made sleeping really difficult. I was booked in for one night and was awake until 4:00 / 4:30am trying to sleep, ultimately achieving only 3 hours of sleep at best. There was a consistent buzzing noise coming from somewhere inside the room... I'm unsure what the source of the noise was. I used the iron but the iron or the iron board got black marks on my shirt which I had to scrape off with my fingers without damaging the fabric of the shirt as it wouldn't come off very easily.

The hotel was lovely inside, comfortable and very clean and tidy. Polite and friendly staff as well as being excellent for accessing the railway station.

We have stayed twice this month while we attended concerts in the city. Great location for bothe the O2 and the eventim arenas, within walking distance of both. On the first occasion we had a small double. Which was good value, clean, with plenty of facilities. However we did find the room rather small and too warm,( although still good value)so we chose to upgrade for our second visit. The is time we had a king sized bed in very large room in the upgraded part of the hotel. It had a large bathroom and air-conditioning. This was a very good value room. Excellent facilities. If we need to come back to Newcastle again we will happily use The County Hotel.

Arrived at hotel around 2pm and spoke to staff to book car into car park and was told would need to come back at 3pm to book in as apartments not quite ready, came back at 3pm and stood in a queue waiting to check in for 45 mins to get to the front and be told we needed to book in at apartments and had to get directions to where this was, my husband walks with a stick as he has vascular disease in his legs so meant he had to walk much more than he was anticipated. As a result we missed getting to disabled parking at stadium of light by 5pm and my disabled husband had to walk a great distance to get to concert which could have been avoided had we been told at 2pm that we needed to checkin elsewhere.

The apartment was lovely, no issues with it

I didn't realise that the standard double room had a small double bed and a deluxe double had a normal double bed. This was fine for us, but I wish this would have been clearer.

Hotel is in a really central location, very close to the train station. Room was very clean. Staff were very helpful. Didn't try breakfast/dinner so couldn't comment, but it was very close to lots of restaurants nearby so there was lots of choice.

The carpet was a little shabby in the room.

Located straight opposite the train station so easy to find. The drinking area was more up market so more for a relaxed drink or cocktail. In the centre of everything but not expensive to sit and have drinks.

My radiator wasn't working properly but they immediately brought me a manual heater which really helped. So I will say nothing was bad about this hotel

The room was amazing very beautiful and clean, brakefast was nice (regular English breakfast), staffs were very helpful, and the location is the best just facing the national train station.

We had room 501 the receptionist said it was a small double??? I assumed he ment the room was a bit small which it was, the bed was a small double not a standard double and up against the wall, I checked my booking details and I'd booked a standard room, in my opinion this room is only suitable for 1 person it felt tight for the two of us, I didn't complain as I knew the hotel was fully booked due to a Bruce springsteen concert at stadium of light on 22/05/2024 which we had come up to Newcastle to attend, and had booked it back in November 2023 This, was the only complaint about our stay. Everything else was ex Excellent

The hotel was very clean all public areas where lovely breakfast was very nice staff there very friendly
