The shower had a glass that you could see through from the bedroom. You could push a button to make it opaque, but with kids, it wasn't ideal. It was a little far from central London. It took about an hour during rush hour to get back to the hotel.

It was exceptionally clean and quiet. Located near the metro station. The pool was a nice bonus for kids. The beds were comfortable. Even though the kids had sofa beds they felt just as comfortable as a normal bed. The two sofa beds were two separate mattresses that were already premade with nice clean bedding and soft comforters. We also found a restaurant nearby to get breakfast. It was next to the Boston News. They served a traditional English breakfast and felt like a local diner. There is also a grocery store right nextdoor to the hotel. It has prepackaged foods. This hotel thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. They even had a small Bluetooth white noise machine for the room to help you sleep. I highly recommend this hotel!

The gym facilities are ok but I was disappointed with the sauna. It was just like a warm room instead of a hot sauna. Also, for 25 pound the breakfast wasn't as impressive as I would've expected.

Staff were excellent and helped me check in early as well as getting me a free drink at the bar for signing in. Also the food on the night was excellent, I'd definitely recommend eating in the hotel instead of heading out if you were there for one night.

Nice hotel which is convenient for getting in and out of London on the M4 if you live West of the city. Spacious clean, functional rooms. The gym and pool are a nice addition.

The area doesn't have much around it for sight seeing etc. and is a bit far from the center but is perfect if you need to be in the area.

The room was so spacious compared to similarly priced competitors. The Hotel was absolutely beautiful.

The staff is a bit on/off, seems to get different vibe and attitude depending on the shifts. When it is good, it’s warm and welcoming, but when it gets bad it is pretty bad, cold and unwilling. Decor needs an update. Only 1 lift was working during our stay, that was extremely inconvenient (a guest told us they were in the lift for 10mins). The floor of the lift is often wet due to guest who visited the swimming pool, making it a hazard. Driving to the hotel is somewhat tricky, there are very few signs. Parking is a bit confusing too. Suspicious looking guests in the evenings of the weekend. You can often find a strong smell of smoke and cannabis in the corridors and lift.

We regularly stay in the Novotel chain. This is the first time at Brentford. Our flight was delayed so arrived very late in the evening (see dislikes). They gave us the wrong room but was resolved quickly, which was great as we were extremely tired. Room was decent size, Novotel standard comfy beds but it does shows its age. Good size bathroom with privacy, lots of towels, good range of toiletries, equipped with a bath which we found it a bit hard (high) to get in/out. We later learnt they do have rooms with shower instead of bath. Despite situated next to the A4, we had no problem with noise during our stay. Breakfast was good, range of selections but a bit limited with fruits. Staff at breakfast were displeasing, felt a bit rush, constantly going up and down the tables, cleaning after guests. Our plates and cutleries were taken away immediately as briefly left the table for some tea/coffee before getting more food. They didn’t came to reissue cutleries and was given a cold stare when we sat down at our table which was unpleasant, so we simply move to next table (this happen on the 1st and the last day of our stay). We visited the restaurant in the evening, this was completely a different experience from breakfast. We would highly recommend it, the food was outstanding and a good selection of wine that is at very reasonable price from a hotel. During our stay we enjoyed a visit to the swimming pool and the sauna in the basement. You have to make a booking at the reception. It isn’t big but decent size, can get pretty busy. Plenty of lockers free to be used (no coins required) and there is a shower in each male/female changing rooms.

The entrance is confusing, the taxi had to circle a few times to find it, not convenient when you have luggages.

The swimming times were restricted for children. Quite a big disappointment for us as the reason we chose this hotel is for the swimming pool and to be refused access at 7.30pm when the pool was empty was unfair on the children.

It was very attractive the food was lovely and staff very welcoming. I’d stay again if I’m in the area but for a site seeing holiday for the main attractions it’s a bit far away.

My TV channels were out and during check in they didn’t tell us someone was coming to fix this issue in the morning.

Breakfast was decent, but I would have loved if they had smoked salmon for people who didn’t eat pork bacon, sausage, in the sliced meats selections, like most 4&5 star locations and some over hard eggs not just sunny side up w yolk, but overall I really like this place.

Only gripe was the filter coffee wasn't very hot at breakfast, I may have been unlucky and grabbed a pot that had been stood out a while. Also (due to dietary requirements) I had to ask for a clean serving spoon due to cross contamination on the hot buffet. I'd say you need to be more vigilant about that incase anyone does have an allergy. Be helpful to have larger towels in the fitness centre or to put a sign in the bedrooms advising you to take them down with you.
