Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

the Pack Horse is a proper pub and 'lively' is a bit of an understatement, but the staff are lovely, friendly and accommodating and the rooms are smashing. Clean, tidy, everything you need for a night away and the beds are very comfy. We stayed on a Friday night and they did warn us that there was karaoke till 12, but it didn't ruin our night, we had a great time and Louth is a very pleasant revelation, we'll be visiting again, soon.

Very old property, small Room and shower is very congested.
Staff are very friendly, polite and helpful, especially owner July she is lovely woman. And location is closer to my work

The shower could have been more powerful but it was fine.
Location was in town and close to everything . Parking was fantastic. In the car park at the rear of the pub.

The shower didn't work well, took a long time to heat up and was quite weak. There weren't any cups in the room apart from one cardboard one. The WiFi barely reached the room and kept disconnecting.
Comfortable bed, convenient location in the centre of Louth, walking distance from everything in town. The pub was nice and had a good beer selection.

A bit noisy but we expected it after reading the reviews. The crooning locals on the karaoke made us laugh. But the bed was comfy and clean

Not a complaint as we were warned before hand but the karaoke really does permeate the rooms! Would recommend checking when they are to take place so you can decide whether to go out for the night, join in downstairs or, as we did, give participants a score and sing-a-long in the room 'til the speakers fall quiet. On non-karaoke nights you'll not realise you're above a pub.
Exceptional value for money. The room was spotless and well furnished, helpful but unobtrusive staff and an outstanding location.

There was no information given on check in about Breakfast availability or the times and where you could have it, maybe a little info sheet in the room would be useful, also info on what's on in the pub and what's around the town. The pillows were a bit flat and I ended up with a neck ache.
Parking at the back of the hotel, although getting blocked in by someone wasn't great especially as I was meeting friends before a theatre show and had to wait for the owner of the van to move it so I could get out!!!!! The entrance to the hotel was separate to the bar area which was great and the room was lovely and nice and warm, nicely decorated too. Plenty of towels and some toiletries to use. Comfy beds and the exact same hairdryer I have at home which was brilliant. The location is spot on in the middle of the town, plenty of shops and food places around. All in all a great place to stay with friendly staff and we met some nice people who use the pub. Would definitely stay again. Good value for money.
