Walls were a little thin so could hear the neighbouring room when they had the TV on, but wasn't a huge issue.

The Pine Guest House was a fabulous find - the owner was so kind when I needed help after losing my key, and rooms were cleaned everyday, refreshments were topped up and all in all it was a comfortable room. I came for a university course so spent limited time in the hotel, but the bed was comfortable and noise levels weren't too bad. The hotel was perfectly located beside the beach where I needed to be, with a short walk to shops and amenities. Would recommend for work/short beach stays!

As an American, a “private bathroom” would include the toilet. I was shocked that, while I had a sink and a shower en-suite, I had to go outside my room and down the hall to use a shared toilet in a tiny w/c. The tv remote was very dirty. Luckily, I had antibacterial wipes with me and used 3 of them on the remote. The tea maker could’ve used a good wipe down on the outside.

Staff was nice, the bed was very comfortable and the location was good.

The location is perfect. Was abit unsure about a shared toilet but it was kept Immaculate and cleaned numerous times during the day and evening. The room was spacious and clean with everything refreshed and cleaned daily. Jackie the owner was absolutely lovely. Looking forward to staying there again.

Hard to say anything bad really, apart from the door to a neighbouring room was very loud and creeky.

Jackie the owner was very welcoming and friendly. The shared bathroom was extremely clean, and full of toiletries, as she maintains it throughout the day. Bedroom was very clean and tidy and bed was comfy. Located on a quite street just a short walk either way to town centre or the beach.

This is an old style seaside B&B (without the breakfast) - unpretentious and maybe from another era and is fine for a night or two. There are no facilities in the room beyond a kettle, though, so longer stayers may find themselves wanting a fridge at least. The central heating is very patchy - it only comes on for an hour or so in the morning and then another couple of hours later in the day. If you're in the room in the middle of the day it gets very cold. For what it is, though, it is good value budget accommodation in a convenient location. If you've seen Get Carter (the original) you'll get an idea.

The location is excellent - just a minute walk from the sea and a few mins walk to the centre of Whitley Bay and the Metro. Also Jackie, the lady who runs it was exceptionally nice and helpful and keeps the place spotless.
