Really traditional pub downstairs could do with a refresh. Carpet old fashioned. Bare wooden floors would be more practical. Step down in public area not displayed enough. I slipped of it. Also needs a none slip bath mat in shower it got slippery. Could do with repainting outside. Suggest a Royal Blue instead of Red.

Bed really comfortable nice ensuite room at the front of the hotel.

There is no parking near the hotel so you have to drop off luggage at the hotel then go to the car park up the hill. The nature of the village makes this unavoidable.

The hotel was well located in the village. The room was small but it was very clean and comfortable and had all the required facilities. Breakfast was good and the price reasonable, given the lack of hotels in the village.

No parking, you need to park at the top and take your cases down the road. A small price to pay for such a quaint place!

Our 3rd or 4th stay at The George, staff are always friendly and helpful. We go for peace and quiet and that’s what’s offered. I can recommend the fish cakes and the full English.

We were in room 2, with no en-suite, and didn't realise that our bathroom was up the corridor, (which I was a bit uncomfortable with), but it was a very nice sized bathroom, with a great shower, and very clean. I never bumped into anyone in the corridor either, which was a relief! The hill - which you have to walk up & down, as the car park is at the top, is VERY steep, not for the faint hearted! But you can't change that!

Really great location, down the bottom of the hill, fabulous food in the pub, & a lovely sized, nice & clean room. Tasty & generous cooked breakfast. The girls that worked there were lovely, could not have been nicer, or more helpful. We had a really lovely time.

I have stayed in Staithes many times but this was the first time I stayed in The Royal George. The staff were very helpful and the room was newly decorated and extremely clean. It is ideally located for everything Staithes has to offer.

Nothing, everything was fantastic

A beautifully presented room with all the facilities needed for a night away, plenty of tea making facilities, you sometimes don't get enough milk but there was plenty 😉. We stayed for an evening meal and the plates were huge! with plenty of variety for starters and your evening meal. The breakfast the next morning was absolutely fantastic!!! And the staff were so friendly.

Our room did not have an en-suite bathroom, but a private one along the corridor. We knew this as we had booked at short notice and there were no en-suite rooms left.
