Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing considering the price, parts of the building look a little tired, but considering the prices are a fraction of Budget chain hotels I cannot complain, nor expect 5* hotel levels of oppulence, Well, maybe one thing, the Bells of St Pauls do not have any sort of mute functionality and are loud, even with all windows shut, if you are a light sleeper then bring some earplugs.
Great location about 200m from St Pauls, easy / friendly check-in with staff available 24 hrs. Important to note I stayed in a suite so had the place to myself, it was very nice, spacious, well equiped, immaculately clean and looked as if refurbished not so long ago (or kept to high standard) Bed was very comfy, and kitchen looked good - not that I used it, but it looked good.

United KingdomThe private apartment is three floors up with no lift. The staff helped with my luggage but it was a fitness test of a climb! See picture. There is no hanging space and no comfortable seating or tv. They could make more of the apartment by putting in a sofa bed and small wardrobe or hanging unit. For the price, it should include towels
Convenient location Clean and comfortable

United States of AmericaThat we left too early to enjoy breakfast!
Our family group of six stayed in the large dorm room with four bunk beds. We were in London less than 24 hours with an early train to catch, and we were pleasantly surprised by the hostel’s cleanliness and location. Bathrooms were clean and the property was well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful.

GuatemalaWifi service need to get upgraded. Couldn’t connect to it for more than one minute. I’m unsure but it seems like they get constant school visits, and I can only imagine every kid having a device that needs to use the wifi service.
Good location. Family friendly. Sink inside the room.

United KingdomIt was noisy from all the young people partying and coming to the last floor and trying our door thinking it's a way for them to get to the roof (the door didn't have a number on so I assume this is why they were tempted). The room was very basic and the bed needed a second mattress
Great location and a very big room

TaiwanIt's a little far to travel from the front door to our room. The massive kitchen is not available for guests to cook for themselves which is a big shame. It's right next to the St Paul's church so we hear the bell every hour all night.
We booked a 5ppl family room, they don't have any vacancy on the day so they gave us an 8 ppl room. There's a little courtyard right outside as well. The bathroom and toilet are not too far away, WIFI is strong. The bedsheet seems fresh, the kitchen is massive! properly the biggest kitchen compared to other hostels I stayed before. Super location, 2 mins walk to the St Paul's church, Along with restaurants, bars, and shops. The breakfast looks great but we didn't purchase it.

Australiabecause of my late booking, I was on the top floor and I have a bad knee. but in saying that I was ok.
The room was great. most of the roommates were respectful. The staff were exceptional and very friendly. I arrived in the evening and was greeted and looked after. The showers and toilets were clean and in very good condition. The location is second to none in London. Being in Black Friars is a great place to base a London adventure. The towels were clean and breakfast was great. I didn't get chance to eat at night but from what I saw it looked great
