Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumHotel Kritsa and the gastronomy restaurant are a fantastic experience. First of all you have the lovely and wonderful staff. They are so friendly! They bring your suitcases to your room and they give you all the necessary information about Portaria, the shops … and everything you ask them. They are very helpful! The outside area of the hotel is like the garden of Eden with an 800 year old tree at the center and a well next to the tree . You don’t need to buy a bottle of water. They fill a carafe with fresh spring water. Lovely! Water can taste very good. The rooms are comfortable. Old style Pelion. I had a room with a balcony over looking the square with the old tree. Very recommendable! And then last but not least you have the breakfast. Only for the breakfast you stay in Kritsa. It’s of an unbelievable good quality with very good quality local products and products from their own farm. The restaurant is also a very good experience. Lovely food and a very good wine selection. The service is professional and very relaxed and friendly. I come back.

PortugalNothing. Everything was perfect!
Where to start? This is one of our new favorite hotels in the world. We had a room with a fireplace, and the wonderful staff were kind enough to help us light it. This means we spent every evening cozied up by a fire, in a small Greek mountain village. What a dream. The food was some of the best we’ve had in all our travels. The breakfast is the stuff of dreams—huge variety, with both sweet and savory options, and delicious cappuccinos made to order. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant two nights, and each meal was divine. This was the perfect Greek mountain retreat, and we would love to come back and stay again someday!

Greecei highly reccomend Kritsa Hotel. It is located centrally in Portaria, providing parking, which is rare, and the best breakfasti had in a long time. Since it is also a restaurant every product is fresh and delicious and they also own a farm so the ingredients are local. Imagine people from other hotels visit this one for their breakfast. The restaurant is also one of the best in the aera and even if it is downstairs we didnt hear a thing. Great experience in total!

GreeceIt was a bit noisy in the hotel since early morning. The bed could be a bit more comfortable.
The hotel is perfectly located in the center or Portaria and it has the huge advantage of providing free parking space nearby. Parking in the area can be really challenging. Breakfast was awesome with so many options.

GreeceReally uncomfortable bed and pillows. If it wasn't for this, I would rate it higher.
Delicious, home made breakfast, and food generally, with local dishes. Really polite people.

United KingdomA couple more vegetarian main course options in the restaurant would have been nice, but the menu changes according to availability of produce so I guess it depends when you stay. Having said that, the food was delicious and good value.
Great location in centre of Portaria on the main square. the room was very comfortable and tastefully furnished in a traditional style, with a balcony overlooking the square. Tea and coffee were available in the room, which was a nice extra, as was the complimentary little jar of fruit preserve - delicious! Staff were friendly and attentive. Delicious breakfast served inside or on the terrace outside.

RomaniaBecause we have some back pains/ neck pains the pillows were not that great and maybe they can set up some insect nets at the windows so that one can sleep with the window open and not hunt the mosquitos all night :))
The restaurant is fantastic. We tried different things from the menu, especially the daily menu and all of them exceeded our expectations. The staff is also great! We had a lot of conversations with them and they helped us with all our requests and they are very nice people! The rooms are a good size and have all that is required. We did not spend a lot of time inside the rooms, but the time spent there was ok. I hope to return here as soon as we can to visit more of Pelion!

United KingdomWe loved it! But this is a traditional house in a Greek mountain village. It’s hilly, with lots of steps around the village square so perhaps not for everyone.
Traditional property situated in the main square and above their exceptional restaurant. All of the staff were brilliant and very helpful. We ate in the restaurant on both nights we stayed as it was recommended by all the locals we spoke to. The menu, food and staff were exceptional with a large selection of authentic Greek food eg. rabbit, calves liver, red pepper pie, homemade sausage, local cheese were some of our choices. As the hotel/restaurant is situated on the village square, my son (9 years old) played with the local kids until 11pm whilst we enjoyed the evening.

United States of AmericaOur room and bathroom were tiny, but we didn't spend much time inside, so it was fine!
We enjoyed our two nights at the Hotel Kritsa in Pelion. The area is very mountainous, and it's known for its food, especially things like "spoon sweets." The little town of Pelion is home to the Centaur Path, which we walked. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant and specializes in farm to table. In fact, we opted to take a cooking lesson through our hotel and were whisked away a couple of miles to the owner's farm. We picked herbs and vegetables and then had an enjoyable cooking lesson in the farm's kitchen, making phyllo and other items, which we were served for dinner. That was a wonderful experience and highly recommended. The hotel itself is in an old Venetian townhouse. Our room was at the top of a very steep staircase, but we got used to that. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the tiny town, and the meals we had there were very good. Recommended!

Room was traditional, not corporate style but what you would expect in old hotel. Restaurant food was great and breakfast too! The location on the square was pretty although due to weather no one was outside! I would imagine in the summer it would be lively
