We were surprised that there wasn’t aircon (in Dalmatia it’s very necessary) but it wasn’t actually necessary here. The air outside was cool so we slept with the windows open and there were no mosquitoes. When sitting outside we were aware of the noise of traffic on the main road (not visible from the house), but it didn’t disturb our sleep or rest in any way

This was a great place for us to stay during our short visit to Plitvice! We really appreciated being able to check in any time until 11pm, because the day we arrived was full of sight seeing. The rooms were simple and comfortable, with everything needed. We were surprised and pleased that there was a kitchen available for our use and since we booked both rooms upstairs we were the only ones using it. The terrace outside was a lovely place to sit and soak in the evening air.

If it had insect nets it would be perfect. Because it didn't and there were many insects outside we had to sleep with the window closed and it was extremely hot in the room

There was no AC in the room nor window screens, so even though it was cooler in the evening, we couldnt open the windows.

Good location and nice host. 10 minutes drive from Plitvice national park entries. Nice renovated bathroom.

Guesthouse is just a few kilometers from the entrance to Plitvica lakes, and it is what we were looking for. Of course the price for one night is cheaper than somewhere on the coast, but we still found in accomodation everything we needed. Room was clean, beds were comfortable + no problem with parking.

The only thing I should mention is the distance from the entrance 2 of the Plitvice Lakes to their guest house. I walked the distance and it took me 50 minutes but it was almost straight and I had no problem finding their house. If you have a car or a motorbike you would have no problem at all but the walking is doable as well.

The lady owner was friendly and helpful! The weather at the time of my visit was not good and I couldn't spend as much time as I wanted at the Plitvice Lakes. Access paths to majority of the lakes were closed due to flooding so I decided to go to a next town called Slunj on the second day. I asked the lady if I could get a lift to the town which I said I will pay more than the cost because the bus connection was not good. She and her husband agreed to take me and they were kind. She even cooked pancakes for me and another lodger which was tasty. The bedroom was spacious as well.

Very nice property, quite close to the national park if you have a car its 5 minutes away. Property is very hygeinic.

It’s not a big deal, but because we were there in early spring the room would get stuffy from the heater and we would want to open the window at night…but smoke from the chimney would then get in the room since the room is upstairs and it is right outside. So recommend airing out the room during the day so you can close the windows comfortably at night!

We enjoyed a short stay here for our 2-day visit to the plitvice national park. It’s quite close to the 2nd entrance, but not walking distance in my opinion…you need a car. Room is very comfortable, we liked the bed. Shared kitchen has everything you need, we were happy.

I was hiking all day and arrived by public transport so I needed a place at reasonable price which is clean, comfortable, has some kitchen appliances for simple meal and easily accessible. This is exactly what I got.

Everything was perfect. The room was super clean, the bed very comfortable and the big terrace just amazing. A big plus is also the kitchen to prepare some food. Beside that the owners are really nice and friendly people. I will definitely come back!

I had a lovely stay at Guesthouse Marton. It was very comfortable, and had everything that you need. Good size and space with the balcony also. Good location for Platvice Lakes National Park, was walking distance. The hosts were very kind and they dried my shoes for me, after they got wet! They also took me with them to a neighbouring town, Slunj. Had a very good stay there, and would recommend. Thank you.

The room was a bit small and the shower holder was broken, which meant the shower hose kept falling off.

The guesthouse was a 3 min drive from Plitvice National Park which was very convenient, and had free parking available on site. The room was clean and had everything we needed, and we also had a nice terrace.

My stay was a good one! The house is just 3-4 kilometers from Plitvice Lakes. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed. There was also a communal kitchen available to guests. The host was kind and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

Simply clean room with terrace, but no space for wardrobe. I can highly recomend for one - three nights stay. in case you spend most time out. But the room is perfect for oversleep, prepare coffee / tea or some simply breakfast / food. Nice terrace partly shared with neighbors.
