Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNot as central location. Not too many facilities, was pretty standard as far as a cheaper room goes.
Great facilities, free water, pool and beautiful place to sit and look at the rice paddies. Staff were nice and the room as great value

AustraliaLoved this place. Great little stop off just before hitting Ubud (about 8ks out). Very rural local location so not very touristy or things to do. Couple of little warungs and a nice rice field to walk around and enjoy sunrise or sunset. Superbly clean place. Great AC and comfortable bed. Ran by a beautiful, warm and welcoming family.

GermanyWiFi should be better, at morning and night connection drops dramaticly. (nowdays it's possible to limit the bandwidth between users, so each get fair share. Owner: please fix it). the swimming pool is/can be at second property, but it's just 30m away (not a big deal for me)
Nice quiet place. both properties have own charm. first have nice Bali typical architecture and statues and second relax atmosphere between rice fields. Have full kitchen! You can make or warm own food. It's a family residents, a home stay. it brings positive aspects, like local atmosphere, and negative, like things stay around (material, tools...)

GermanyMy mattress wasn't flat, one side had a kind of hole. WiFi was shaky in the beginning, but it was fixed towards the end of my stay. Pool wasn't connected to my compound, so had to walk down the street to get there - which made me never go in.
Lovely family running this homestay. They helped with recommendations and taking packages with things I ordered online. Free water provided, which was a great bonus. Pool at the next door facility, didn't use it though.

PolandRooms are quite small and very close to each other so there is not much privacy with the neighbors. Big electricity tower just near by...
Swimming pool is lovely and it's not a problem that it's in the different location it's very close. Drinking water, tea, coffee, kitchen access.

AustraliaCould do with maintenance. Don't expect cooking classes and tours to run on time. It's very much Bali lifestyle. Wouldn't recommend back to back activities. The location is not familiar to locals so make sure to have an idea or Google maps when traveling back and forth to the accommodation. Great location if you have your own scooter. Not so much if you don't. Found location kind of hard to get in and out for transport. Wouldn't recommend walking around at night as the location infrastructure is poor. Lots of pot holes, road works etc. No barriers or lights. Visability is very minimal.
Definitely very afforodable. Had own room, clean blanket, sheets, bed, towels, shower, toilet, fan. You will need own toiletries. No soap or shampoo/conditioner provided. Fair enough though this accommodation is super cheap! If you are on a budget and just needing a place to sleep and shower at the end of each day. Soca is a great stay. Also has kitchen facilities available to use providing basic coffee and tea for free to visitors and a delightful pool in another common area. Staff will guide you there. Staff are lovley, be prepared for Balinese cultre/lifestyle. Don't expect anything in a rush or have staff wait on you hand and foot. If that's what you are looking for do NOT stay here. This accommodation provides the bear minimum at a very low cost price. Value for money is exceptional.

LuxembourgWe enjoyed our stay a lot. The place is in a quiet area but close to all amenities and places of interest are at walking distance. The rooms are clean and the pool is gorgeous! The family is very friendly and present, we have returned to their place on different times during our visit to Bali and intend to come back and have some more days of rest at their place next time we come to Bali 😊
