Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Breakfast could have been better, especially bread section, which was awful
Location of this hotel is perfect. It situated in a lovely neighborhood and the tram stop to Venice is only a 2 min walk. The tram gets you to Venice in 10 min (only 4 stops away). The staff was lovely and always eager to help. Also the hotel extremely clean 😊

The only thing that I would have liked to have is more warm options for the breakfast and more variety.
The location was excellent, very close to the bus and the tram stations. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and always very polite. The breakfast was also quite good, a lot of pastries and cold options.

It was not what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. There was a bar at the hotel, which looked very basic (we did not try it in the end), but no restaurant. The fridge in the room was not working and there was no kettle to make a tea, no slippers for the relatively cold floors (no carpet). No other facilities at the hotel. This would be a nice 3*, but definitely not a 4* hotel.
The bed was one of the most comfortable that I've experienced in a hotel, just the right firmness. But only one pillow may not be enough for some. Breakfast was great too, good variety and lovely cakes and the location of the hotel was perfect - tram stop with trams going to Venice just few mins away and a bus stop for the airport shuttle in the opposite direction even closer. The staff were nice and very helpful.

The behavior od some other guests were reckless and noisy.

Breakfast one day was very poor as there were a group of tourists. Obviously the hotel knew beforehand so it could have been better organised!

Besides a lady during the breakfast the other staff were very strange. The hotel management should work on the hospitality side. Maybe because of level of English but we have not received the appropriate information, most of the time very rude, direct approach. It seems to me, I have gone to many 3,4,5 stars hotels, this is rather 3* hotel (staff, breakfast, facility,…) Despite the influence of Venice mass tourism I did expect more… we (family of 4) used this hotel to sleep over night but still we had few situations in the hotel we were not comfortable with…

The room we were given for 3 single beds was a little cramped and not like advertised photo. Pillows were hard. Only scrambled egg and bacon available as hot option at breakfast.
Easy location off the main road and pretty quiet. Short walking distance to tram stop to reach Venice. Friendly, helpful staff. Pretty good selection for breakfast.

The bathtub was leaking.
It was near the tram station and had free parking in front of the hotel. The staff was really nice and helpful.
