We recently stayed at this beautiful B&B and had an exceptional experience. The medieval village is incredible and wonderfully quiet. The room was immaculate, spacious, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was a delightful start to each day, offering a wide variety of delicious and fresh options made on site Including home made jams and muffins, that catered to every taste. Additionally, the host Stefan was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went out of his way to ensure our stay was perfect - goi g above and beyond on many occasions. We highly recommend Alla Torre del Barbarossa and look forward to returning in the future!

Situated in a small medieval village, very charming. Little bit of a walk into the local town by the lake, but not a problem for us. Breakfast very tasty. Room was clean and comfortable. Steffano was very helpful.

We can’t say enough good things about our stay… The B&B itself is situated above the lake with fantastic views of the rolling hills. It’s a good walking distance from the train station and has free parking available near the accommodation, if needed. Our host, Stefano, communicated well with us prior to and during our visit. During our stay, he went up and above to ensure our stay was comfortable, and made us feel special, going as far as to prepare our breakfast 2 hours before their usual serving time to make sure we had ate before checking out. The room was clean, comfortable and had a real authentic Italian design/feel which made the stay all the better. The room was made up every morning, with fresh towels provided. We were served breakfast and coffee every morning which consisted of croissants, pastries and bread as standard, as well as being able to order eggs, assorted cold meats and cheese, if we wished. The B&B is attached to a family restaurant too which was some the best Italian food I’ve had. If you’re thinking of staying here, it’s an absolute no brainer. We’ll be back there soon!

Magnificent accomodation located on a hill above Mandello. The charming house is a bed and breakfast with apartments in the back and osteria in the front. Everything was clean and tidy. We had an enjoyable stay, quiet and peaceful. The hosts are very kind and welcoming. The food and especially their local produce is top notch. I would definitely recommend spending some time in this beautiful area.

What a fantastic place! A lovely family run b&b with restaurant below with exceptional food! Breakfast was plentiful, all fresh and locally gathered. Owners very friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to help us with late arrival by leaving keya out and accommodating us with a crib and high chair for our baby. Very comfortable beds and a great location for walkers with a lovely country walk into town and a waterfall hike in the vicinity!

Everything was wonderful from the minute we were picked up near the train until our departure. Beautiful setting, quiet, comfortable and relaxing. It felt like being among family with the family owners. Adjoining restaurant had amazing food and all staff were warm and welcoming. The décor was beautiful and simple, the included breakfast was hearty.

Excellent breakfast. They also run a restaurant, it is one of the best restaurants in Lake Como. The only regret we had was that we didn’t eat there for a second night thinking we would try somewhere else.

Friendly welcome from Stefan. Beautiful location in hills, but a distance from train station, quite a walk. Room was lovely. Breakfast was good quality. Ate In restaurant one night which was delicious.

I couldn't have changed anything about the stay

I only didn’t like the mattress, too hard for me. my girlfriend slept on a slightly softer mattress. It’s very personal so it might be to your liking

Beautifully decorated in a rustic style in keeping with a traditional Italian home. The whole place felt like something out of a Italian novel! Our room and bathroom were spotless and comfortable. The restaurant was friendly and comfortable with a lovely outdoor terrace. Our breakfast was fresh and delicious. We stayed for dinner each evening we were there and the food was prepared and presented to such a high standard we could have been in a top class restaurant. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. We hope to return some day!
