Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Huge noise - from the street and from the doors of other rooms (unlocking, locking, slamming, ...). It was almost impossible to sleep. No safety deposit box in the room. Small shower.
Extremely friendly staff. Great location (near to the bus, metro, taxi stations). Very, very clean (it was cleaned every day).

The street was a bit noisy at night, and the room wasn’t quite ready at 2pm, more like 2:20pm. After two days of hard travel, I really needed a shower.
Location is perfect, price is good. The room was snug but had everything, including a mini-fridge.

only negative is the shower didn't close properly but this didn't cause any issues
location was great. walking distance to everything and close to the metro. The room was basic but clean and comfy which is what we needed for a weekend away. It was a good size for the 2 of us. the staff were really friendly and helpful. would stay there again.

The backyard is very noisy early in the morning. The first door is slamming from the people during the night and the near 3 doors are slammed every night till 2.a clock
The Staff is very helpful and polite. Location is perfect. Room is clean.

Breakfast was very simple. 5 euros at low season is reasonable, but 10 euros is not an adequate price.
Good location. Not far from RomaTermini railway and bus stations. Walking distance to the main attractions. Polite and helpful personnel. Possible to store baggage after check out.

The only downside is the noise from the street, which lasted all night long.
The location and quality of the room are excellent. The staff are incredible, helpful and very nice.

The room 223 has the poor view torrent the unpleasant backside with no sun coming in. The shelf in the shower may hurt you. The breakfast costs 10 eur but could have a bit of sausage or ham for those who need more protein in the morning)) overall, good value for money if you don't stay long in the room.
Perfect location: one min from the lively via Nazionale, 11 min from Termini station, yet the street is quite. Couple of restaurants around. Very clean.

Room for 2 was tiny, but had enough space for our suitcases and stuff… No curtains so some light comes through the shutters. Breakfast is open only until 9:30 (or more like 9:15) and it’s just basic coffee and pastries, some juices. ok for Italians 😉. All in all the hotel is on the expensive side for what it offers, but Rome is expensive…
perfect location! Walkable from the train station and to all the main sights, lots of shopping and restaurants. Elevator is convenient. The rooms are newly remodeled and perfectly clean. Room is made daily and clean towels provided. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The building is old (which I think is a plus, historic) and has character; the rooms are modern. I would definitely stay here again, but maybe call them directly and see if I can get a “Roman discount “ since I was born in Rome 😉

Beds in Italy are just harder than America.
Staff was excellent, helpful and kind. Room was clean and well set up. Location was close to the train station but not too far from sites so that was great. Seemed to be on a quieter street although active so it didn't feel isolated.

Great location and friendly staff! You are in the center of all main attractions. It's a short scroll to the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps :)
