Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaBathroom was very small and access to the shower was a little challenging over the bidet but it is Venice and space is at a premium.
Decor is a little dated but overall the room was good, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is tight but adequate. Bed was comfortable and I slept well. Breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of choices. WiFi reception was also good. Location was good in that it was close enough to the main tourist sites and the Vaporetto stations but without having to pay the premiums that some hotels charge for being closer to those sites.

ItalyBreakfast is basic but good to have the option of a bite before heading out. The room was small but perfectly fine for a one night stop.
Very kind, attentive and accommodating staff. Great location, two steps away from the undervalued church of SS. Giovanni e Paolo.

SwitzerlandWhen we arrived we had to pay what called city tax cash ( they accept no card payment), and unfortunately we had just 5 euros cash ( the payment was 6 euros) and they insisted that we have to pay just cash otherwise we can’t do the check. We suggested that we just do the check in and pay now the 5 euros that we have then we go to exchange money and when we come back to the hotel we pay the 1 Euro because we don’t wanna waste out time looking for exchange shop or an ATM for just 1 euro, but they refused as well and we need to go and look for an exchange shop before the check in Otherwise no complaints
The location, The stuff gave us some advices about the city

All staff were very polite and helpful and gave us great tips for nice areas to visit and suggested places with amazing food. Their advice and suggestions made our trip to Venice even more enjoyable! The room was very clean, nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. Decent breakfast and very nice and relaxing atmosphere in the hotel. Thank you for your recommendations! We had a great time!

HungaryThe staff was very kind and friendly. They replied to all our questions and made suggestion for where to visit and dinner locations. We walked from the train station to the hotel but I suggest to take the waterbus (as the staff suggested to us but we wanted to have a walk) because there is too many mini bridges. The location was nice 10min away from San Marco. The room was very clean.

AustraliaBe aware there is no elevator, stairs only. You will hear some street noise (expected) in the evenings but the windows are well sound-proofed and I did not have an issue with it. Also no toiletries in the bathroom so be sure to bring your own.
Located in the middle of St Mark’s Square and Rialto Bridge (both 10mins walking distance) I found the hotel a wonderful convenient location. The closest water bus stop is only 5mins walk from the hotel as well. The nearby square had plenty of eateries and cafes to suit all tastes. Check in was quick and convenient, with a very helpful gentleman who gave lots of information on the city and points of interest. The room had a tea and coffee station as well as a bar fridge, which kept drinks perfectly cold. The rooms are small but set out well, excellent for a short stay and for those looking to explore the city. Comfortable bed as well, good pillows and covers to stay warm. Wifi worked well with fast connection speeds. All amenities were clean and in good working order.

AustraliaWe came in winter, and it was very cold because the heating is regulated by law. The blanket was a little thin but since there were extra blankets we snatched those and rugged up with extra clothes on.
We liked how spacious it was. We stayed in room 1 and there was plenty of space to completely unzip all our bags, with extra couches, a table, a dresser and a mini fridge and a kettle. Definitely good if you’re a family looking for a big enough place to stay, definitely spacious enough for 4 or 5 people even though we were only 2 people!

United KingdomIdeally located in what is described as the most authentic district in Venice, next to the Basilica that the hotel takes it's name. Our host Stefano was very welcoming and checked us in. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and he made recommendations for places to dine and take a gondola in response to our request. Definitely try "Spaghetteria6342alletole" for dinner, just around the corner. The room was cosy and very clean with all of the usual facilities, tea and coffee making facility, fridge with cold drinks, TV, and adequate storage. There was a dressing table and chairs. The en-suite shower room was modern and reasonably sized, and the shower worked very well. In the morning we took the included breakfast described by Stefano as "simple". It was typically continental with breads, cheeses, cold meats, jams, yogurts, fruit juice, and coffee. The temperature during our visit was cool so we didn't need to use the air-conditioning.

NetherlandsThe checkin time interval is quite short, form 15-19:00, and if you arrive later you have to pay an extra fee. We arrived in the morning, but they emailed us that they cannot store luggage so the only option is to leave it at a lagguage store close to the hotel. They have a policy that the sheets and towels are changed every 4 days. If you want to change it more often you have to pay extra.
The location was very good and quiet. We received a small breakfast every day, so that was a nice surprise.

SpainEverything was perfect
I stayed here for four nights and everything was better than expected. The room was very spacious and the shower was bigger than others in Venice. The accommodation is close to every tourist attraction and you have some vaporetto stations near (ospedale, rialto). They offered me a free breakfast but I was in Venice with my family and I didn't have it but that's a really kind gesture from them. The receptionists were very helpful and nice, thanks Stefano and Sebastiano! :) If I ever come back to Venice (I hope so) I will definitely repeat in this place.

United KingdomTV didn't seem to work that well but really only a very minor thing.
Room was surprisingly spacious for such a relatively small looking building from the outside. Stefano was very cheerful and helpful with tips on transport around the city and places to visit beyond the streets and canals in our immediate vicinity. Close proximity to the hospital proved very useful for us.

FinlandIt was quite hot and humid inside the premises. Room had ac so it was no problem but hallway was really hot too. Lots of mosquitoes also so get some repellent.
Breakfast was included and it was a surprise to us. It was simple toast and yoghurt but plenty enough to start the day! Location was excellent and room was big enough. Bathroom was big too. Staff was helpful with everything. Location was quiet and no noisy restaurants open late next door. Nothing disturbed the sleep and bed was comfty too with extra pillows.
