Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe capsule’s input and output. The controls inside the capsule were very outdated and volume was low. My provided headphone did not work in the jack.
Checking was easy. Spa and bathing area were very clean. They even had a shaving and touch up area which was surprising.

PhilippinesThe building is old and it has to be renovated or refurbished. The locker rooms are small even for backpackers. No clear instructions for the facilities. In short it was not that organized as compared to other hostels in Japan.
It is close to the subway or train station, restaurants, shopping malls and more.

It's close to the center of Osaka, easy to transport to other places. Very suitable for a male travelling alone.

AustraliaIt’s my sort of health retreat when there so I don’t drink and use the facilities which are well maintained.
Not for everyone but suits me . It takes a little time to work in with the Japanese culture but enjoy it once I am there.

ThailandYou have to check out everyday at 10am and check in again at 4pm, no matter how many nights you stay. This is a very weird regulation. Booking.com should make a remark about checking in and out on daily basis even you booked for more than one night. I suggest you stay only one night otherwise you have to check in and out everyday which is quite frustrating. There are penalty if you check out after 10am which is 150 yen per 30 minutes late check out.
This place has onnsen, sauna, bathing amenties, towels, everythings you need for you. Just walk in empty handed you will get everything inside. This inn lpcated in a perfect locations full of nightlife and resturants.

South KoreaPersonally, I didnt feel comfortable with the fact that they have only open bathroom that you have to share with all people. Lucky I was staying only for a night, so not bathing for a day wont harm anyways.
The location is really close to Osaka - Umeda Station and its in the main street where there are a lot of Izakayas in surrounding. This property is together with sauna so, if that what you are looking for, well you get two in one :)

PhilippinesPillow was way too hard for me, so i used the provided futon, rolled it up and used it as a softener. Changing may be a little difficult in the locker rooms because of the cramped space.
Location-wise, the capsule was very near the center of Osaka, making it a good location. It is also in the middle of a shopping district so you can have everything you need nearby, especially if nightlife is what you're looking for. The onsen and sauna were also good. There was one fluent english-speaking staff at night, so it may help you. I also had a dry massage there, and the elderly lady knew how to properly massage. She sounded a little agitated, though, but other than that, it was a proper massage. Overall, this is not a bad place to crash if you're looking for somewhere nearby, considering its cost and locations, and as long as you're already comfortable with the public onsen culture.

PolandThe location is great. The spa and baths are spread across 2 floors and have an extra open onsen at the roof. Everything is clean and nicely tidied up with lots of things provided for comfort and usage. The capsules are quiet and nice - a little old and the place has visibly shown it's age - but that still adds to the retro charm of the place. Not much you need to require from a proper capsule hotel apart from sleeping capsule place to clean yourself and relax as well as the peace of mind. Funnily the carpet imitates wooden panels but is soft everywhere to ensure comfortable walking without shoes (shoes are left in the shoe lockers before getting to the floor.

PortugalThey make you check-out and check-in everyday which is a bit weird. They also have a weird mechanism where every time you go out you need to hand them the room key in exchange for the shoe locker keys, super convoluted. Also the staff was not very flexible when handling customer requests.

Historic first capsule hotel in Japan designed by Kurokawa, I was glad to see they retained some architectural and design elements of the original.it would have been amazing to see how it was in 1979 (they had so pictures of how it was, extra groovy 70s style). Anyway, the capsules have been updated, which is a major plus. There are saunas, indoor and outdoor baths, and even a small pool to enjoy here, as well as many relaxation spaces. Locker area looks retro too, which I found fun. Almost every guest here was Japanese, adding to the feel of authentic non touristic Japan.
