Positive section of review
Location was convenient, hotel staff and management were very accommodating and also addressed a problem I had with the room very professionally. Manager Tanimuta went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. They even held our luggage after checkout so we can explore Harujuku/Shibuya.

Location is fine, a short walk from Kita Kagaya metro station. Traditional Japanese apartment with clean shower and toilet. Kitchen is there and all basic amenities. Nothing wrong with the room. Had the owner been more responsible, this place would have been great.

The owner's attitude - he confirmed that he would be there at 4 pm upon our arrival. But he was not present. We were stranded in the rain and had to seek help from locals. Locals went to his place by bicycle and brought him to the apartment to check us in at 6 pm. It was 2 hours waste for us along with a lot of frustration. Furthermore the owner was not even sorry. I feel that this apartment is very nice but it just needs better care from the owner or the manager.

HOTEL MOON BEACH MUSEUM RESORT

We liked the rooms, the swimming pools, the beach, the buffets, the staff. Snorkeling was conveniently provided by the Hotel - and was wonderful. And the airport bus picked us up at the hotel, which was great.

Visitor sites in general were not nearby; it took hours to get to them with public transportation. For example, it took about 2 hours one-way to get to Okinawan museums in Naha. It took us longer to get to Yambaru National Park with a ONO (Okinawa National Office) tour guide conveniently picking us up and dropping us off at our hotel, although the day-long tour was excellent. We stayed at Moon Beach in April which meant some rainy, cloudy days not great for taking full advantage of the pools and beach facilities as much as one might have liked.

The building is old and it has to be renovated or refurbished. The locker rooms are small even for backpackers. No clear instructions for the facilities. In short it was not that organized as compared to other hostels in Japan.
