Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaThe location was amazing with the best view of Mount Fuji. The train stops directly at the back of the resort and The bus company is conveniently located right next to the resort. There is a free shuttle that takes you to the busier parts of town where you can take local buses to various spots in the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet in the hotel had clear signage on every dish to indicate the ingredients, so was easy to see which dishes we were able to eat.

AustraliaDespite having plentiful options at breakfast, there was very few vegetarian options and no labelling of what was vegetarian.
Large, clean and comfortable room with great view of Mt Fuji. Close to bus station, theme park, shops and restaurants. Staff were efficient and helpful. Loved the free access to nice wooden onsen.

AustraliaThe staff at checkin time did not disclose and explain about the government onsen bath tax but disclosed when we checked out. We told them it is not right and ethical to get us pay at the checkout time. In the end the staff cancel our payment.
We like everything, the facilities, the staff friendliness, location, convenience and the environment

AustraliaCheck-in is 3pm. I arrived just after 3pm after a long day of travel. My room wasn’t ready until at least 3:20pm. Kids were running up and down the hallway near the elevators at 7am the next morning which woke me up (rooms aren’t very sound proof to what is going on in corridor).
Really liked the view of Mt Fuji from the room and access to the Onsen. Proximity to the theme park is great if you like that type of activity. Liked the free shuttle bus to get to places around the resort. Note I realise the bus isn’t just there to pick up and drop off at stations but it would be useful to time the morning shuttle after checkout - the 11:30 one about 5mins earlier to allow customers to get the 11:32 train from mt Fuji station instead of needing to wait 45 mins for next train.

FranceEverything we expected was there and more. The view of the Mt Fuji in the morning, the amusement park just a minute walk away, the baths next to the hotel, and the quality of the room. The buffet breakfast room in the morning as well with the views it gives, although it can get a bit crowded and noisy. I'd recommend to stay at least a few nights, depending on the weather, if you want to have the best views you can get. Restaurants within the hotel are also top notch.

AustraliaI think the steps up to the bathroom, could be a trip hazard for some guests, especially at night.
Paying extra for the Fuji view room was definitely worth it. We awoke to a spectacular view of Fujisan. It's a short drive to the 5th Station on Mt Fuji.

United States of AmericaDidn't think the Terrace buffet for dinner was worth the price. Buffet breakfast was very good though. Asked for directions to Arakurayama Park, unclear communication, ended up on wrong bus and didn't make it to park. Asked if we could buy fast pass tickets to rides at hotel, were given free entry tickets. So it seems the hotel does not sell these, you need to buy them day of at the park. To be fair this was a picky question and we didn't end up needing fast pass tickets because it was not busy or crowded.
Onsen was nice and spacious with different types of pools. Entry system was a bit confusing but staff directed us which way to walk and exit. Staff at restaurants so gracious and helpful.

United KingdomThe 7th floor walls and windows are sound proofed and perfect next to the amusement park. The interior walls can be thin where you can hear people in the corridor and is pretty noisy.

AustraliaProbably a bit pricey. Breakfast at about ¥3000 is a bit expensive. Found alternatives close by.
Nice Hotel, next to Fuji Q Theme park, the main reason for going. Express Bus station very close, so getting there and leaving very easy. He otel has shuttle bus to a few locations, so can use that if you come by train. Great views of Mt Fuji. Only 1 full day there and it happened to be very wet. (Obviously not hotel's fault)
