Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanThe building is very old and the walls had so many patches. The wallpapers are ripped and hanging here and there. Could find more dirt in the room. They will not provide separate room slippers.
The location is nice and the private open bath is awesome. Free parking is available. Perfect for couples.

FranceThe sad part is that the hotel needs lot of repair. The arcades games area is very old school. I think it was a beautiful hotel like the place to be in the past but now they really need to invest some money in it. It is also a bit far from the train station.
The hotel is very spacious as well as the rooms. We liked the private bath on the terrace. The breakfast had a lot a variety.

SingaporeThe worst thing was the tobacco smelling towels which were given as a replacement. We had 3 nights stay and only the fist set of towels didn't stink. Even hanging towels on the balcony couldn't help the smell. The room desperately needs removation. The floor decking on the balcony had hole in it, balcony door was squeaking loudly, pillows had treads sticking out. And literally all other hotels on our month long trip were cheaper and had a heated toilet seat. Staff is not friendly during breakfast, they try to chase everyone away right before the restaurant closing time, no exclusions. Breakfast itself is meh, could be much better. Cheap sausages, cold eggs, horrible mini croissants. And I haven't seen margarine suggested with croissants in ages. No butter. The coffee from the machine is an absolute disaster.
This is our second stay in this hotel, first one was in 2018, and now again in Dec 2022. We had enjoyed it more in 2018. The upside is having the onsen bath on the balcony and that's probably it. Location is ok, Kosagoe station is ~10 mins walk.

SingaporeThey did not top up the crabs for the dinner buffet so could not really have all you can eat crab. Could not figure out how to off a small light in the room so could not sleep in total darkness. Best if you are driving as the train runs every hour.
The rooms with personal Onsen was nice, with high walls and a view of Kinu River and the mountain. Bed was comfortable and walking distance from Kosagoe Station and Edo Wonderland. Nice spread for dinner.

Netherlands- room was not fully cleaned (hairs in bathroom) - breakfast and dinner slots were full although when we checked there was seats available (staff was lying) - no invoice possible (we booked for 2 rooms, instead we had to pay for 4 people… although we explained the situation, we were charged double) - lack of communication/understanding from staff

United States of AmericaPretty much everything. We were charged ¥55,000 for just stay no meal included. We told them that the plan we chose was breakfast & dinner included plus no spa service fee. The staffs at front desk told us that the booking information sometimes doesn’t match with the hotel side when a guest book the room from foreign site. They blamed the foreign site. The entire hotel facility were outdated and guest rooms were partially modern and partially outdated. One of our room wasn’t ready. The air conditioner wasn’t on so the room was muggy and hot. The room was so dirty. Hair all over in the sink, bath tub and floor in the room. Wall paper was ripped,,, it definitely wasn’t worth to pay for ¥55,000 at all. One of the front desk staff told us there are no restaurants near by the hotel. We found dozens of place to eat! In fact there was a family restaurant within 3min. from the hotel by car. He lied to us. There is more to say, but,,, It was the worst hotel experience we ever had.
We enjoyed the view of fireworks from our balcony. We also liked the vending machine they had. Can’t think of anything else.

SingaporeI wrote to the hotel twice in English requesting for directions to the premises. They did not respond probably most of their staff do not speak English. I relied on Goggle translate when I checked in and when I requested for some amenities.
It is value for money, a casual family resort and most rooms come with an open air bath which is fantastic. This was the biggest draw for me as smaller ryokans have limited attached onsen tubs in their rooms. Buffet breakfasts and dinners were good enough for short stays. We had to leave our shoes in lockers and walk around the premises in their slippers. That is one way to keep the floors cleaner than usual. Most balconies will face a tiny "waterfall" amidst greenery and a stream. It's quite a nice sight. Hotel is also near the Kinutateiwaotsuri Bridge (3 min drive) which is worth a visit.

JapanThe hotel is very old. You have to leave your shoes at the entrance and you’ll be charged for that. At 11:30pm drunk and noisy guests will pass by your room and possibly wake you up. If you ask for a higher floor when you check in, they’ll lie to you and say that the hotel is full, but in the evening more than half of the hotel windows do not even light up. Breakfast will only satisfy those who have not eaten for a week and are very hungry.. the taste is so disgusting, no fruits, instant coffee and tea is like slop. It's cheap but not worth it at all!!
Starry sky, quiet place, all around one continuous nature. CHEAP
