Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room on our first night was very dark at the top of the hotel. This would have been just about ok but unfortunately the air conditioning/heating made a terrible noise & it didn’t respond to the remote control. Neither did the television work. The hotel offered us another room that night which wasn’t suitable but they did give us another room which was light & airy (& with a working tv) the next day. As the hotel was fairly empty, I couldn’t quite understand why we were allocated such a poor room on our first night. We were only provided with tea in the room (& one sachet each).
The breakfast offered an excellent variety of dishes & was of very good quality. It was a typical Polish breakfast. The location of the hotel was ideal for visiting the nearby palace & was also in the centre of the town. The staff were helpful & friendly. We ate in the restaurant the second night of our stay & the food was superb & reasonably priced. The bedrooms were very large but could be a little more modern. The toiletries in the bathroom were sparse & not of good quality.

United States of AmericaAdding a ramp to allow wheeling luggage up the three front steps would make it easier for some guests to navigate in and out of the hotel.
The location was very convenient and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

UkraineIf you have a lot of luggage you would need to carry it 7-8 steps before the elevator. If staying at a lower floor - there is a lot of light in the square and the room at night is very light. The square of the town is pretty busy, so there is noisy if the window is open.
Very good hotel in the center of a tiny and cosy town. Good rooms, everything is new and renovated. TV, large modern bathroom, good quality toiletries, speedy wi-fi. Nice smell in the hotel, absolutely perfect breakfast with hi quality products (scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, three types of ham, three types of cheese, pate, vegetables, restaurant style salads, yogurts, flakes, fruits, cookies, freshly backed croissants, jam and honey, juices, exquisite coffee machine). Parking in front of hotel. Lancut castle is in 5 minutes walk.

United KingdomSome minor complaints. There were no milk pods to go with tea/coffee. (Fortunately I had a room with a fridge and was able to go to nearby supermarket and buy some milk and store it, I would have done so anyway as I have to take medication which is easier swallowed with milk). Although breakfast was reasonable the bain marie could have had chaffing fuel burners to keep the food warm.
Love this hotel. It is right in the centre of Lancut. Has a particularly excellent restaurant with some really good and well-cooked food. The staff were all really helpful (as always) even if they have changed since my last visit here.

United States of AmericaNot one thing
The property was perfectly situated, sparkling clean and comfortable. The outdoor patio deck was the door to eat and drink and listen to the Castle protectors - the hundreds of rooks talking all day long. Two individuals really stood out to me. Jakob at the front desk and Paulina at the restaurant. Both offered tremendous service day after day. They went above and beyond in everything they did for me on this ancestral trip to Lancut as I took a short break from humanitarian work at the border. They improved my customer experience to off the charts!!’

United States of AmericaPaulina (who does alternating duty at the front desk and serving in the restaurant) was a HUGE help with our stay. We were in Poland doing work to resettle Ukrainian refugees and provide supplies to the Przemysl refugee center, and needed to find the best businesses to buy supplies from. She did a LOT of research to provide us with this info, and saved us a ton of time. Kudos to her for providing exceptional service!

SlovakiaPositive findings have already been described here and I agree with them. But there is one big problem. The rooms do not have air conditioning, so it is necessary to ventilate through open windows. There is a busy road in front of the hotel and a large car park. In Poland, riding motorcycles without mufflers is popular. Throughout the evening and until midnight in the room you will hear sounds like motocross races. Do not expect any silence and rest.

United States of AmericaThin walls—I could hear my neighbor snoring. And the deadbolts are designed in such a way that they slam into place, so everyone hears all the other doors closing.
The staff went above and beyond. Paulina was wonderful. She was my favorite and worked hard to make my stay memorable.
