Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThe restaurant we were recommended didn't meet our expectations for the price. It was only a few streets away, but the meal wasn't' great as the meat was really tough.
location was perfect for exploring.

United States of AmericaWe stayed at the Albergaria for several nights in the first half of April, 2024. We loved our stay there. The room, which had a sitting area, was spacious. Our room was on the ground floor, we heard zero noise from overhead. The decor of the hotel is comfortable and charming; many of the items in the lobby are from the area. The breakfast was excellent, as was the service. The staff was unfailingly courteous and helpful; we would note especially the crew of new employees under training at reception and filling guests' requests. They were attentive and above average. We did drive to the hotel. We never had a problem finding a spot downstairs in the hotel's parking garage (11 spots). Note it was early April, so low tourist season. The hotel is located in the northern half of the historic center of Evora. To get down to the true historic center and the shops is a not a difficult or far walk for most people. Restaurants not far from the Albergaria, all of which were wonderful: The Lombardo, O Trovador, Fialho, the Taskinha. We eat gluten-free; most restaurants were alergies-aware. The maitre-d at the Trovador was tops. If you can make it to the mountain castle of Monsaraz, fabulous!

SerbiaHonestly, nothing.
The hotel is located in a very convenient location, both by car and by foot it is easily accessible. The lobby area, the garden, and the hotel's overall design are lovely. The staff is very friendly and helpful and made a great first impression. Our room was clean and also comfortable. Breakfast food is also on the higher quality and delicious side. Especially the tomato jam :)

We were greeted at the door as we came in and service remained great for the entire stay. They made excellent suggestions for restaurants and helped us with reservations. The room was clean and well equipped and maintained. Having a small parking garage helped a lot. Location was excellent for exploring Evora by foot.

Charming boutique hotel (former olive oil mill), nicely updated with the lovely scent of Jasmine wafting though the courtyard as we entered. Very comfortable bed and linens. Extremely attentive and helpful staff (especially Alfonso, the intern). Great location for visiting Evora.

CanadaOur room was most comfortable and met our expectations. Staff were helpful and offered assistance as required for restaurant suggestions etc. Continental breakfast options had excellent choice along with hot egg or pancake offers. A big plus is the underground parking available for a fee if the few free spots outside are unavailable. Definitely worth booking when in Evora!

CanadaThe bed was a little bit small. But very comfortable.
Staff were amazing, friendly and very helpful. They made dinner reservations, got us hooked up with a very interesting walking tour, were knowledgeable about the town and environs. The courtyard was very nice, a peaceful place to relax, and the breakfast was excellent. I went to the lounge and read one night...a perfect, comfy spot..

United KingdomNothing for us - maybe a walk-in shower would be good for people who have mobility problems We would have liked to have stayed longer - maybe next time
This is a charming hotel - We had a lovely room to stay in what used to be an olive mill - which has been lovingly restored Bed had lovely bedding and the towels were thick and of good quality The communal spaces are lovely - particularly the outside terrace which is like a little oasis in amongst all the plants - we had breakfast outside there The breakfast is very good with a choice of eggs - lots of fruit , muesli and homemade cakes too Hotel is dog friendly Joao , the front of house person was very friendly and gave us lots of information about beautiful Evora The hotel is just inside the city walls so it is possible to park free outside and it is is only a couple of mins walk in to the hotel
