The room was not clean when I entered. The fridge is very noisy. There are no easy parking solution around.

Location is very good, internet is good. It's big enough and have what you need for a short stay. However I highly recommend to not spend more than 5 days in the island Madeira, it's too small and pricy for what it is.

The room I booked showed 2 twin beds, but we arrived to one king bed instead. This made sleeping difficult for my travel partner. Also we suffered with a horrible septic/sewer odor in our bathroom that was not addressed during our stay after we reported it. That was the reason I gave low score for facility. The seating (wood couch, chairs) was uncomfortable also.

Loved the location! In the city center, very safe and easy walking distance to sights, buses, and grocery store. Apartment was very quiet and secure. The window faced the square, which was lovely and gave nice light to the room.

Many minor damages, wouldn’t have been a problem but with charging a deposit it felt a bit weird as a „good renter“ to be treated as renter who would leave the place a mess. Also you didn’t check the apartment in the end 🙈. So it made me a little uncomfortable to be honest cause it felt like the deposit may be only requested individually for there are no notifications about it ahead of booking and for it not being a luxurious apartment but a common one. I’m really thankful to have had this place for a very spontaneous and for me affordable booking but more than 90€/night is far too much, cause you can’t only charge for location. This is a friendly feedback! But for me the price needs to be in relation more, cause shower leaked, there was no shampoo, not oil/salt/pepper as a friendly basic for the kitchen, it wasn’t perfectly cleaned (still ok) and for the damages on the walls. I want to emphasise again that I mean no harm whatsoever and I appreciate all of your help but it hurts me a little cause for me 90+ € is a lot lot of money and compared to a whole Quinta with huge garden and private pool in Funchal it’s not in relation at all (still charged the same). It is a reality on Madeira but after all you are the people of Madeira who could change this „crazy housing or renting situation“, no offence whatsoever but it is all related, booking and renting, people making up numbers.. Long story short message. Thanks and please consider my feedback for further guests. ❤️

Everything was great, no complaints.

The location was fantastic. In the centre of the historic old town. You could walk everywhere. Close to the sea front. Great shops, excellent cafes and restaurants. The apartment was roomy and very comfortable. Also extremely affordable. I highly recommend Esmeralda Holidays Apartments!

There was only one wine glass. Also, the ventilation in the bathroom could be improved. Except from that, we were super happy about everything.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel in every single way! The location is perfect if you want to stay in the city centre of Funchal. The apartment was cozy, with nice furniture, a comfortable bed and a practical kitchenette.

The street that the room was facing was loud at night

The main address I was supposed to stay was unavailable because of unexpected circumstances. However they immediately transferred me to a nearby hotel (Pier House) with a very similar room. Overall the staff was very kind and helpful, and the room was clean.

- they want 100€ deposit from you but you dont get a receipt - you hear everything that happens outside of the door - even when window closed you can hear some noise from the plaza - slightly smelled like canal all the time - no possibility to put stuff in bathroom - no broom - old hotel hair dryer which heats up and turns off - one of the mattresses felt pretty "done"

Wine opener is a broken toy. Apartment is size of normal smal hotelroom (not 40m as is was told to be). Would be nice if there was a mirror to see the outfit.

We struggled a bit finding parking because there were no parkings around apart from the street itself so I’d recommend the property to have an agreement with different parking around and make the stay smoother. They should replace the AC machine because it seemed a bit old and it kept switching off every 30mins aprox.

The location of the property is magnificent, walking distance everywhere and just 10 minutes from the beach. The facilities are very good, including a washing machine and a well supplied kitchen, the minimalist decoration makes the place modern yet cozy. It’s a good value for money
