Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

KazakhstanMaybe the cockroach? At least our girly-girly daughter didn't see it -- and thus spared us her theatrics. Our room was on the third floor up a narrow staircase, with no elevator. Not fun getting our luggage up there. And it was just a disappointment overall. There were not enough blankets, for example, and we half froze to death at night. I must say that I was expecting better from the website, although I really should have guessed from the price.
This was basically a "you-get-what-you-pay-for" situation. I chose the hotel because it was cheap and within walking distance from the train station, and because all we needed was an overnight before catching our flight the next morning. There was a Greek restaurant for dinner just a few doors away, very good except for all the smokers.

PolandThe quilt was in the wardrobe, didn't look fresh. There was a lot of dust in the room, didn't look carefully cleaned at all. The receptionist was uninviting and was smoking on reception. There was a lot of mold in the bathroom. The room looked renovated but in such a cheap way that it all starts to fall apart

United KingdomWhen I arrived I found a T-shirt left in the bathroom and a open used soap in the shower. Apart of that was a strong smell of cigarettes. Being pregnant was so hard to stand the smell so I opened a window straight away. Next day the smell diminished but o couldn’t explain why is such a strong smell . I went to take a coffee from coffee machine so I realised that the housekeeper was smoking inside the building. She was cleaning the room with cigarette in her mouth. It was alright for short time stay but if I have to choose again , I won’t come to this place . Also , unfortunately I couldn’t pay by card but that’s their policy.
The room was quite big .

RomaniaOh boy, where should I start this from... There were cockroaches crawling in the room and the bathroom. We found the biggest of all cockroaches in the bathroom. We were watching tv while another little cockroach was crawling on the wall and went behind the tv that was mounted on the wall. The toilet was dirty, there was no thin blanket to cover overnight, they only had a thick one and it is in the middle of the summer. The air conditioning was producing a bad smell, and the room had a big window where the sun is going through almost the entire day. I booked the rooms through booking.com and one of the rooms had the price of 130 ron and the other one had 114 ron due to the fact that I have Genius lv 1 and it applied a 10% off price. When I showed the receptionist my booking on my phone she said that she is not even watching my phone. She checked on her phone and realized I was right and she said she does not apply the off price during summer season, so we had to pay full price for both rooms. We also found hair on the bedsheets.
I could take a shower.
