Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South KoreaI found no fault.
Koh Samui is a beautiful place but even so the hotel can make or break the holiday experience, Amari Koh Samui only added to the experience, breakfast was wonderful with so many choices, 2 swimming pools to choose from, and the beachfront raked clean every morning, with any food or drinks purchased at the Amari or Prego Italian restaurant, when we gave our room number we received 10% discount, what a really nice touch. Every day we received 4 free bottles of water in our room, greatly appreciated. There was always security guards there to stop traffic to allow safe road crossing in front of the hotel, a great safety feature. Staff were very helpful and always happy to help with any questions we had or anything we needed. Mok greeted us on arrival and departure, really nice genuine person, but actually all the staff we met with were nice, kind, helpful people.

United KingdomWe didn't like the bathroom, it smelt faintly of urine and didn't seem to be completely cleaned. There was also a few hairs in the room when we arrived and a dead cockroach under the bed.
We really liked the staff, they were all so polite and helpful. We also liked the main lobby and the pool areas. We liked the area that the hotel was in and the breakfast choices.

Estonia1. While the main property/area was nicely renovated and cleaned, the rooms in the garden wing were quite outdates and missing good old deep cleaning. Renovation requires finances but cleaning not so much. It often felt as the bare minimum was done in terms of cleaning the rooms. 2. If you went after midday to the pool then it was quite difficult to get pool towels. We were told several times that they had run out of clean towels. 3. Naturally the sea carries rubbish and dirt to the shores and while we saw the staff cleaning the beach, it should have happened more often. This part of the beach and sand was covered with plastic and other rubbish which was really sad to see. Walk towards the south and you'll find cleaner parts of the beach. 4. At times it was difficult to communicate with the staff as it seemed that they mastered the basic phrases in English but not a lot more. Nothing major but made it somewhat challenging at times.
The main area: reception, restaurant, pool - all nice and well taken care of. The staff was generally nice and welcoming with some exceptions at breakfast service. The hotel is located at a nice distance from the busy area of Chaweng but still super walkable. The rooms were big and offered enough storage and breakfast had good choice of options for all preferences. Definitely not a 5* hotel but more like weak 4 but that was ok. Hotel premises were well taken care of and it showed how much work they put into maintaining the plants and lush greenery which was amazing.

There was a lot of choice for breakfast, from Asian to European style. Anything you want really.

IsraelThe room did not fit a five star hotel as indicated and should be graded as 3-stars. The room is small and the decor is not appealing. Much too little cupboard space. We tried to change/upgrade our room and were told it is not possible, whixh was extremely disappointing
The staff were friendly and courteous

PakistanThe thai food you serve is bland. i understand this is done because most of your guests are from countries that do not tolerate higher levels of taste intensity, but personally i was disappointed.
It was all good. We were quite touched by the "happy birthday" message on the bed for my wife, and also for the birthday cake you sent. A very nice touch, thank you.

Resort style feel, with lots of lovely garden surrounds and nice open spaces. The hotel sprawls across a fair bit of land. 2 very nice pools, lovely breakfast overlooking main pool and North End of Chaweng Beach. Staff were very helpful and nice.

United States of AmericaGreat staffed nice rooms. I needed to move my room because there was an issue with the birth. They came immediately and help me relocate. The street separates the lobby from the rooms, but they have a crossing guard that is there most of the day and the evening, and that is awesome. The breakfast is the best I have had of any hotel. Such an array of different foods, and everything was delicious!
