Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsCooking classes no longer on offer here. Travel Agency next door that i liked so much in 2022 has moved elsewhere. The spirit and dynamics of the place are not that outstanding anymore.
Friendly host. Room is just nice. Not a real hotel but comfortable. Airco was good with 40 degrees Celsius. A lot of options available for trips.

AustriaSuch a lovely stay right in the heart of Chiang Rai! I can highly recommend this guesthouse. I loved everything about it: from the interior to the comfy, clean and spacious room with nostalgic touch, everything was perfect. The staff is super friendly and acommodating, they take their time to help with booking tours and show where everything is on the map. The vicinity of the hotel is very safe and quiet, only 15 mins by foot from the busy tourist quarter.

AustriaI guess we have experienced Thai hospitality at its best :) The hosts are super friendly, helpful and recommended us different places to go and it made our short exploration of Chiang Rai very diverse and memorable. We were allowed to check in right upon arrival with a morning bus. We got the nice reliable scooters for a fair price from the guesthouse which was incredibly convenient. We booked last minute and I didn't really check all the facilities, my primary focus was on location, a/c and scooters, but the room had everything we might need and even more (we found fridge, kettle and tea/coffee which was very convenient). Location is very central and close to the bus station (8-10min walking) and maybe 10-15 min to the night markets, but at the same time very quiet at night. Price/value is perfect.

FranceThe AC was dropping quite a lot but it happens, so it was no big issue for me. Also, I had some problems to connect my electronic devices because of the plugs, but this also happens in different places, so...
The staff is very, very friendly. The room is big and quite comfortable. It is really nice to have a fridge and a boiler. The place was absolutely clean, and quiet. I was able to work and organize the rest of "my life" smoothly. A really nice stay!

Located in a really quiet cul-de-sac near the bus terminal, and with only a handful of spotless, airy, and secure rooms on offer, Grandma Kaew House is a great little place to stay in Chang Rai. Motorbike rental and tour services are on-site, with all other amenities are only a short walk away.

NorwayNo breakfast, but excellent restaurants nearby!
We spent only two nights to explore Chiang Rai! This accommodation was ideal, providing everything we required. The air conditioning was excellent, and there were tours available for booking. They helped us book the day tour to explore the White temple, Blue temple, Long neck village etc., and it was amazing! We would have extended our stay if we hadn't already booked a flight. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful!

United KingdomNot enough surfaces to leave stuff in the bathroom.
This place is brilliant in every way. It is run and staffed by several generations of the same family (all female) who are just the loveliest people imaginable. Smiley, friendly and always on hand to help make your stay more comfortable. The rooms are large and well equipped, the beds comfortable and the building is cool enough not to need the aircon at night. It's a small place with only seven or eight rooms and they even operate a motorcycle rental business from the same premises. It's a ten minute walk to the clock tower and all the nightlife. If you want a great stay near the centre of Chiang Rai then look no further.

AustraliaGreat location. Short walk from Bus Terminal 1 and night bazaar markets. Part of the walk is down a dimly lit street but there were other tourists in the area so it still felt safe. The staff are very lovely and friendly. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Very generous size fridge, if you are staying longer than a couple of days you can stock up on supplies 😊 Air-conditioning cold. Would definitely stay again
