Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Our villa was beautiful and spacious for 6 women traveling! It's walkable to the near by mall, and spas for massages.

United KingdomWe stayed in the hotel just over the road (Valia) which for a fairly similar price was amazing (£20/night difference). I think this definitely tainted our views on The Davis. The only reason we didn’t go back was because they hiked up their prices for Songkran to over £200/room/night from £60! Quite dated decor. Breakfast wasn’t included and I didn’t realise. Went down, toasted 2 pieces of bread. The woman comes over and tells me I’m not allowed breakfast. So they just threw the bread away. I understand I didn’t pay for it, but it was only going to go in the bin, seemed like a real waste. Spa more expensive than most places in Bangkok. There’s a nightclub in the lobby of the hotel. We could feel the bass from the 3rd floor when we were in bed. Ear plugs managed to block out the noise. We were in the main building, maybe the other section of the hotel would have been quieter.
Central location. Has a pool, spa and room service. We didn’t have time to see the pool or spa however. Staff were friendly, took our bags up to the room.

BhutanThe rooms didnt get enough natural light, the corridors were dark and it was hard to see the room numbers in the dimly lit corridors. Note that there are two separate wings. If you book the corner wing rooms, its the building with starbucks in it.
Big spacious room with a desk to work from, the huge bathroom with a bathtub and seperate shower. It is close to phromphrong station.

AustraliaWe have stayed at the Davis a number of times in the past. It was good to see that it had reopened after being closed down for a few years. If you don't mind staying in an older style hotel this is good value.

United KingdomThe whole place needs a refresh in terms of decorating and there is an almost stale smell everywhere. Not too bad, but it smells old. The new pool beds are awful for hot weather. They are yet to refund my deposit...we left 3 days ago.
Location is perfect: very central with a BTS station right at the end of the street; lots of restaurants and 7/11's within easy walking distance. The beds are super comfortable. The pool is lovely, although the new sunbeds leave a lot to be desired...(we've been coming here for about 15 years)

South KoreaThe hotel was built a long time ago, so it looked a little old. However, It's not important for biz trip.
The location was great for taking a taxi and BTS to get to a meeting. Also super cheap than another same-conditioned hotel near Sukumvit24. I will stay again when I'm back in Bangkok.

United KingdomThe WIFI is not very good at all! The connection constantly dropped in our room on the fourth floor. Reported this to the reception but unsure of what they could do to rectify any issues. We weren’t relying on WiFi for social media purposes but mostly for organising trips and making plans during our holiday. I also use Apple Fitness for workouts whilst away and these simply would not work in the hotel. The breakfast is limited with the same offering everyday. Toast, Fruit, eggs, chicken sausages and a salad selection with a changing Thai dish each morning. This is not a huge problem but the lack of variety made the breakfast not that appealing.
The location of the Davis is excellent, with easy access to the BTS and MRT stations. Loads of shops and restaurants nearby. The pool area is lovely and the SPA offers very well priced treatments in a very elegant and relaxed area. The gym is small but adequately supplied with equipment for both weight training and cardio.
