“Danfords hotel is a lovely building located perfectly at the seafront. In fact, some of the nicest views can be had in their hotel-front garden where seating is provided. Check-in was quick and painless with a very professional receptionist. The rooms are either within the main building, or within a collection of buildings along the seafront adjacent to the main hotel building. My room was easy to find and felt very secure. The room itself was very large and spacious, but had been designed cleverly so as not to feel empty. The bed was incredibly comfortable, clean and well presented. The adjoined bathroom was large and bright, with a great overhead shower that had good pressure and immediate hot water. To top things off, I dined at the restaurant downstairs, which really impressed me not only with its delicious food but also its stunning sunset views. Overall I was very impressed, I can't imagine there is a better place to stay in Port Jefferson.”
