Its old world charm is in some ways a disadvantage. Rooms and baths are on the small side, in keeping with its 100 year old pedigree, but can feel cramped at times. Fortunately, all of downtown Ashland is easily at hand when one feels the need for more space to move around.

Classic century-old hotel perfectly located in Ashland, within steps of the OSF, great restaurants, interesting shops,, and the wonderful Lithia Park. Attentive staff, quiet and comfortable room, stylish and elegant public spaces.

    Fairly small room

There is no better location in the charming Main Street of Ashland. It’s on the National Historic Registry so it’s important to modify your expectations around modernization.

Would be nice to have beverage service all the time. ( coffee, hot water, tea).

Great location, great parking behind hotel, enjoyable architectural & historical treasure. Mini fridge in room , and pet friendly. Would be a cool place for a wedding!

Poor wifi connection; Moldy blind in bathroom that released spores when unrolled which set off allergies. Informed the desk so I think it will be addressed.

Great location for Ashland theater visits, great staff, really personable hotel. I would book another trip there if I were attending a play in the near future.

The breakfast was good. The historic aspect of the hotel was fun and the common areas were elegant. The room was a bit small but it was very comfortable and quiet. My only suggestion is to have the light switch in the bathroom INSIDE the room, to prevent lighting up the bedroom during the night.

Breakfast could have been a bit higher quality (no meat, breads and muffins better).

Location was excellent, the hotel has great feel, an old elegance missing from modern hotels, it was quiet. The Lark had good food and a great ambience.

Location is fantastic, right in the middle this wonderful town, yet very quiet- we were there off- season so that probably contributed. We loved the history and style of the hotel , the views, the friendly attentive welcome- we were offered early check in and loved luxuriating in the comfort of our room- my mom wrote letters at the writing desk overlooking the hills. Breakfast was more abundant than expected and served buffet style a lovely, sunny breakfast room. The beds were a dream. We had a lovely “city-break” here!
