Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI never had contact with any staff and was unsure how check out worked. I had no idea how to reach someone regarding any questions or requests. I don't know if there are rooms on ground floor levels. I would not recommend for people unable to take stairs and the stairs are steep and narrow. Any heavy luggage will count as a workout manuvering up and down the stairs.
I enjoyed the location. It was enough out of the Jackson square French Quarter area to enjoy less hectic night life. There were cafes, restraurants , and bars/ music venues near the hotel. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the local resident interactions. The area felt safe and it was only 15 minute stroll to Jackson Square. The room was on the smaller side but had more than enough space for me. The decor of the room and house lended a historical charm. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. The downstrairs common areas were lovely and offered board games, coffee (keriug pods) and tables to eat your to go meals. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to enjoy New Orleans without having to be bombarded by the French Quarter night life. The location offers ease of access to the central quarter, while remaining removed enough to allow a truer local experience of the area. I felt truly blessed to have been able to last minute book this hotel on the holiday weekend.

United States of AmericaMy room was adjacent to the court yard.
The ambiance and positive energy. Jen Lee was very familiar to me prior to my arrival. After a day, I became I’ll , and she did her best within her means to allow me to recuperate after taking my prescriptions, needing rest prior to check out. Of course I was charged an additional fee once or twice, but I couldn’t possibly left immediately, considering I was under medication with extreme side effects. I thank Jen for her immediate attention. However, I hope to be back as long as they’ll have me.

United States of AmericaIt was a bit of a problem to get in, ass they sent an email with exterior building and room door combinations in the early afternoon, which I was unable to connect to since I can't connect using my phone. I tried calling their phone number unsuccessfully to talk with someone, so we just waited on a bench outside the door. The manager finally showed up and provided the information.
The area was quite at night and easy to find. The connected restaurant had good food and wine. United States of AmericaThe sink and shower drain slowly and the room has no natural light.
It's easy to find, easy to find parking, and easy to get into. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxed and I didn't feel nervous about walking down the block with my luggage. There were extra blankets in the closet so I didn't have to run the heat. Also there's a chill wine bar/restaurant downstairs. It's very low key and is a great place to start the night. It's in a great location, you're just 2-3 blocks from Frenchmen St. and just a short walk from Bourbon St and Cafe du Monde.

United States of AmericaThe fact that it is called the balcony house & we didn’t have a balcony off our room was disappointing. There is a shared balcony area in the other building.
The location was my favorite part of the place. Very quaint!

United States of AmericaIt was a double edge sword, you wanted peace and quiet and also a night life to enjoy. I’m one that doesn’t like to get around by car, so I did a lot of walking. I wish there were more of the electric bike access or scooters people can use to get around town. Maybe a guide that pointed out more local restaurants and bars to visit locally. There were quite a few located blocks away, but I just did not know where to go.
Cozy, staff were comforting, far enough from the strip, where there was peace and quiet. Yet, you were blocks from other sources of entertainment.

United States of AmericaMy box spring was broken or of poor quality. It wasn't obvious and was an easy thing to miss as a cleaning crew.
Location and the place itself were amazing. Small shared kitchen was perfect, patio and balcony smoking areas were too. There was no staff present during my staff but that's fine with me.
