This is a really fun place! The drip coffee in the room was like camping. Very creative place. Joy at the front desk was awesome!

Parking was a bit of a challenge, but not a big deal.

The place was fun, clean, comfy with good linens. Loved the fire pit outside. And I appreciated that there was a 10PM quiet time. Didn't have enough time there to play in the pool, or hang out at the fire pit -- next time we'll allow for more play time.

I didn’t like that I booked a Sunset King (because Booking said it was an upgrade) and as it turned out, we got placed across the street. I would never book a room over there! It’s in a bit of a sketchy area, we could hear some street noise and being across the street, it’s a cold, wet walk back and forth to the hot tub/pool area. Apparently, all of their Sunset Kings are over there. Also, they tried telling us we’d have a Mountain View which was not true. So, next time I’d call the hotel after making a reservation through Booking to make sure I get a room on the pool side of the street. That said, we’ve stayed here many times and really like it!

We especially love the extra large hot tub and the 100 degree outside pool- both saltwater. The people at the front desk are always very personable. The decor and spacious rooms are awesome!

As with many motels, it was a bit loud with the traffic on the main drag. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.

The staff were friendly and introduced us to the cool amenities like the firepit, the pool, the canteen, etc. There were ponchos in the rooms that you could use outside at the fire or pool. The coffee in the room was great. The rooms had interesting decor. All in all, it was a great experience.

The aesthetic was comfy camping vibes at a summer camp where everyone can hangout by a big fire or take a dip in the warm salt water pool. Or walk to mcmenamins.

Recommending Campfire Hotel for the ultimate PNW/Bend experience
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Campfire Double Pet Friendly
    • Stayed 5 nights

Our family stayed for 5 nights in early April to go skiing at Mt. Bachelor. Campfire hotel lives up to it's great reviews. The hotel was perfect for us. It was about a 3 minute drive from downtown shopping and restaurants but across the street from a Safeway and 7-11 a block away. Very convenient to get everywhere! The food scene in Bend is out of this world so we enjoyed trying new restaurants every day. The mountain was 30 minutes away. The hotel has got a very cool vibe with thoughtful PNW hipster touches throughout. The rooms are updated and stocked with reasonably-priced outdoorsy hiking snacks and muscle recovery soaps/lotions and an outstanding variety of post-adventure recovery beverages in the minibar to purchase. In the evenings, the large outdoor firepit and the heated pool (100 degrees in the winter!) and hot tub are a great place to relax and/or meet fellow travelers. The bar has tasty snacks and unique drink options to choose from. Sunday nights you can enjoy karaoke! Some days the pool was empty others it was busier (on the weekend) and a fun way to get travel recommendations and local tips. Overall a really outstanding experience! Thank you!

Hot water took minutes unusually long to get hot (more than 2-3 minutes). I got in a lukewarm shower because I thought they'd run out of hot water.

Nice modern motel. Spacious rooms. Convenient location. Hot tub, pool, bar, and fire pit are nice amenities to have.

Other than being a little far away from home and maybe some minor sketchy surrounding neighborhoods, there wasn't anything specific about the hotel that we didn't like.

Super cool atmosphere and style, on top of being super clean. Bonus points for heated pool , we were able swim into the night while it started to rain and snow. We weren't able to do smores by their huge fire pit but we will deff do that next time. Awesome place wish it was closer to home but we are now making up any reason to go back to bend or lol ( we live in north ID)

The parking can be difficult and I personally do not like to park my car on the street due to surrounding area. It is like once you have the spot you do not want to leave or you will loose it.
