Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe lighting in the main room could have been much brighter. At the North entrance the steps would have been easier to navigate if they had been wider. Wish we had been closer to the front.
The breakfast was awesome. The location was great. The fact that there was no carpet was a big plus. We liked the bathroom arrangement especially the two sinks. Enjoyed being able to use the table in the computer room to play card games with granddaughter.

United States of AmericaDuring our stay at the hotel, we encountered a few issues that detracted from our overall experience. The hotel was undergoing renovations, which were posted, but we noticed that there were ceiling panels in the hallways that had fallen through and needed repair. Additionally, there was a trash can near the entrance of our room that had concrete mix dumped in front of it, which we accidentally stepped in due to the rain and poor visibility. In our room, there was a chip in the wood of the cabinet that held the mini-fridge and microwave, which caused the door not to close properly. The shower also posed a problem with a low lip, causing water to splash onto the bathroom floor, and no safety handles were present in the bathroom, which presented a potential hazard. One suggestion we have for improvement would be to replace the pool table and cues in the atrium. The pool table was uneven, causing the balls to get stuck and jam, and the pool cues were worn down, with no chalk available. It also cost four quarters to play one game, and the cue ball got stuck halfway through, which required us to use one of the colored balls instead. We also couldn't use the hot tub, which was disappointing. During our stay, we had a complimentary continental breakfast from the restaurant on-site. Although there were many food options, we found the food to be mostly average and not very tasty. The orange juice was also a bit bitter. We only went there once, and we decided to skip it for the rest of our trip. They could improve the breakfast by providing fresher bakery goods and higher quality foods. We noticed that the maid/make-up service could use some improvement. When we requested the service, they only picked up the dirty towels and emptied the trash bins; they didn't make the bed, change the sheets, or refill the coffee station. We wish they could have done more, but they were respectful of our personal belongings and didn't move or touch them.
My wife and I recently spent three nights at the Best Western Plus Steeplegate Inn in Davenport, Iowa during our vacation in the Quad Cities. We picked the Best Western Plus Steeplegate Inn in Davenport because it had good rates and was rated three stars or above. Despite some ongoing renovations, we were happy with our stay. Compared to similar hotels, it was much cheaper and offered decent value for money. We gave the hotel a five-star rating because we had a good experience overall. However, please note that we would classify it as a three-star hotel. The hotel has areas where it could improve, but we felt satisfied with our stay, especially considering the room cost us only $263. Our room had a very comfortable king-sized bed with plenty of pillows. It also had a microwave, mini-fridge, and a comfortable leather chair with an oversized ottoman. The mini-Keurig coffee station was a nice touch, and we appreciated the large shower dispenser for body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. The closet was spacious, and the desk was well-equipped with handy plugs. We would have preferred carpet instead of wood laminate flooring, but that’s just our personal preference. The lobby was clean and impressive, with an ATM, mini-store, and a large coffee station. The hotel also had a well-equipped fitness room and a beautiful, fully enclosed courtyard. The indoor atrium was enormous, and the swimming pool was small but comfortable. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi was boarded over during our visit and was unusable. The hotel’s bar, 1 Hundred West, was fantastic. It had live music, great food, and amazing drinks. The bartenders, Matt and Anthony, were delightful and made our visit even better. The bar was immaculately clean and had a modern, sleek look. The person who checked us in was extremely pleasant and attentive. We didn't use room service, but it was available, along with wake-up calls, free Wi-Fi, and free amenities.

United States of AmericaThe video games in the atrium were non-functioning. Don't know if it was power, or they were broken. When we asked at the front desk about it, the overnight attendant was NO help. I think he just wanted to get back on the phone with his girlfriend. Also, the toilet seat in our room was broken. We tried to let the housekeeping lady know, but she didn't speak English, so I fixed it myself.
Location was great, facilities were good, breakfast was great! Pool was very well maintained. Attached bar and restaurant was very clean and good quality (if a bit overpriced).

United States of AmericaIt took a long time to get checked in. There were two guys at the front desk but one was completely useless. The other was only mostly useless. It was the longest check-in that I remember at one of these overnight places. We heard an altercation very late at night. I couldn't tell where it was coming from but it was very loud in our room. The walls seemed very thin. Fortunately, it only lasted a few minutes and stopped.
This may be the biggest Best Western we have ever been in. They have a lot to do including a nice pool. The breakfast was very good. We didn't have to drive far to get to restaurants and stores.
