There was a bit of noise from the train, but the noise machine helped so much.

The convenient location was outstanding. The property has many updates and made our trip excellent.

Although the home‘s location is wonderful for people attending the Expo Center or Univ of Louisville, it also means it’s in the flight path of planes leaving the rather busy nearby airport. This will be the case for any property located in this area though. The planes aren’t terribly bothersome while you’re inside the home, especially if you’re using the sound machine that is provided by the host or watching TV. There are train tracks directly behind the home though, and trains often blow their horn at night. I did my research and knew this coming into the home, but I think it might be nice to mention it in the listing just in case someone is an extremely light sleeper. My kids both slept with their usual sound machines and thankfully were never woken by the trains.

This property was clean, beautifully decorated, and well stocked with the things one needs when traveling. The host provided lots of extras and was easy to communicate with- all of which were greatly appreciated. Check in and check out times were very reasonable and the check out procedures were not cumbersome - something that seems to be much harder to come by these days. The property is very close to the Expo Center and the Univ of Louisville. The neighborhood is nice and filled with charming, older homes. We felt safe at the property and spoke to a very nice neighbor. We found a cute park just a few blocks away where our kids enjoyed the playground. There were also many good restaurants nearby. The master bed was comfortable (didn’t use the other bed since our kids still sleep in pack and plays) and plenty of pillows were provided. There were blackout curtains in the bedrooms which is always appreciated when traveling with young kids.
