Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bathroom is in control of your toilet paper use it only allows a square at at a time so if you are doing the doo start getting your wipe ready as you get your business done 😂 and the wind was blowing so hard our room was whistling all night kept waking me up.
The room was very clean. We didn't really see much stuff

The other guests were very loud. You could hear everything through the walls and ceiling.
The staff was very nice. I had an issue with the tv in my room and they worked very hard to fix it. The breakfast was also impressive. I have not seen a normal hotel breakfast like this since Covid started. They had many good choices. The pool and exercise area were also open, which was a pleasant surprise.

Because of Covid they aren’t able to clean rooms each day.
The rooms were incredible clean and comfortable, with 3 kids a baby and my husband and I plenty of room. The breakfast was the best breakfast I’ve had at a hotel!

When we arrived, they did not have our reservation. After reviewing our paperwork, the clerk was able to get us into a room, but it certainly made me anxious that we were not going to have a place to stay. He said that they had not received the reservation from Booking.com - that made me nervous about continuing to use them for bookings in the future.
The room was nice. For breakfast, you went down and got what you wanted and took it back to the room. I was the only person down there when I went, and appreciated not having to eat around others.

they assigned us a room with a bird nest outside on the balcony. It stank and you couldn't sit out there. It was ridiculous to do that to a customer.

The messy birds on the balcony wasn't a good first impression. The location was farther away from the city than I thought it was. Closer to the highway than we thought it was too.

Disappointed in the pool and hot tub area being closed for construction. Not having a breakfast room made it so my breakfast actually got cold on the walk to the room 3 floors up on the far end. Providing a tray to carry food on would have helped with transporting the breakfast.
While there currently is not a breakfast room the staff did what they could to provide a decent breakfast able to be taken to the room. Trays would have made it a little easier to do.

The pool was closed
The staff were amazing! They were very friendly and offered to give us recommendations to keep us busy. The only thing we would've loved is for the pool to be open. We'll definitely be back.

Breakfast was good. But eating in room was not great. For one thing all I see in the future is bugs. People that eat in room drag food around. With not cleaning room for a few days because of covid, sorry I see that as accident about to happen. If they do not take garage out for a day the smell.

I wish we had been told the pool was closed for renovations when we booked. We didn’t find out about that until I called to check on a couple things the day before we arrived. At that point, it was too late to cancel and try to go somewhere else with a pool. The kids were super disappointed. It ended up being okay, the rest of the hotel was great- just wish we’d had more notice about the pool. The only reason this review doesn’t have a 10 is that the pool was closed.
Breakfast was great. They did run out of the waffle toppings with a couple days to go on our stay- but they had jam, so we just used that and it was fine… some of my kids aren’t big syrup fans. Lots of variety for breakfast and the staff was very helpful and kind. Rooms and the rest of the hotel were clean and nice. Would stay here again.
