I had read multiple online comments about the inadequate breakfast options before I had booked my trip, and I have to say, they were totally justified. Breakfast was an embarrassment to say the least. To be told by the staff at 8:10am on a Tuesday that the $300+ a night luxury hotel that I was staying at was out of food, I found it to be quite a kick in the pants. I had also been told the previous afternoon by the lifeguard, that the poolside didn't have any clean towels available (although it did appear that she had contacted various members of staff throughout the hotel for assistance, but the communication was appalling and no one was answering her calls). I have stayed here, many years ago, but the hotel is in decline. It desperately needs a renovation; rooms are dated, furniture is torn or in need of replacement, sinks/toilets/showers require maintenance, walls and carpets are stained and worn.....and yet the price of a nightly stay continues to rise (quite considerably). So why stay here?

I went to the front desk on multiple occasions and no one was there. I went to the valet and no one was there. I waited so long i decides to take my keys off the board and go get my car myself. I disliked that the keys where that accessible as well. Breakfast was disgusting. Fruit just sitting in bowls with no ice. Pineapple looked old and the coffee was empty at 8:17am?? The dirty place were piled high and tables where not being cleaned. Once again no one to be found. This is nice hotel but i really don’t think you are getting that type of experience.

The grounds are really beautiful. The rooms where clean and pretty. Loved the privacy of the area as well.

The breakfast was an absolute dumpster fire. It's okay to have minimal continental breakfast but to sit in the dining area for more than 30 minutes waiting with a clean table, napkin or fork it make no sense for us to return. We self-served ourselves finding silverware in the kitchen and nearly an hour after we toasted our bagels, we finally saw a staff to ask for a glass of clean water and glass to drink it out of. Poor job team. Also the window in my kids room was stuck open letting in mosquitos and compromising their safety. Lastly we had no TV service for most of the sedan night stay there.

The location is unique and looked great from the outside. I brought my kids once before from overseas and loved the ambiance.

I’ve stayed here many times over the years. So many negative changes in the last few years. No lovely room with restaurant breakfast - now yogurt and hard boiled eggs. No more room service and the pillows are horrible. Just a general deterioration and this is a shame v

1) I would have liked to have stayed longer but our flight home was the next day. 2) Small point - something hot for breakfast would have rounded off the experience.

1) Our room was superb. Big comfortable bed and bedding 2) We attended a concert at the local Music Hall and therefore the location was perfect. 3) A mini Castle set in its own grounds with swimming pool.. 4) Staff were very helpful.

the mattress was bouncy, there was no air or A/C in the gym, nor water or towels, the spa was as closed, the breakfast was bare minimum. also no water station on the premises or mid-day snacks/drinks. the restaurant is only open Thursday night to Sunday night. I found a crumpled up black cocktail napkin from the prior guest on the floor by the bed.

The grounds were very nice and the bed linens as well.

I wish the Spa would have been open back to full service, hopefully soon.

The castle has an amazing charm and history behind it. Even though a number of amenities are still closed or limited with covid, there were plenty of comfortable spots to relax in old world charm. The hotel was spotless and the staff was outstanding. Can't wait to visit again.
