To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Of all the Comfort Inns around Indianapolis this location outshines all the rest. The others remind you constantly that you're staying in a "budget friendly" hotel while the Indianapolis East location makes you feel like you're staying in a much pricier property. It's clean, updated, well maintained and with friendly, helpful staff. This location will be my go-to any time I'm in the Indianapolis area!

United States of AmericaThe staff wasn’t friendly at all. The beds were terrible. Not only were they hard as a rock but it felt like you were going to roll off. We thought we were getting two queen beds but instead got two twin beds. It took the shower five minutes to warm up. The vending machine had warm pop and melted candy. literally, the candy by was syrup. The cleaning crew knocked on our door both mornings even though we had the do not disturb on the door. They seems confused that we were still there even though we booked for two nights.
