Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The pictures in booking.com are very misleading. The hotel is way older and dirty than it appears in the pics. There is no pool. Walls have cracks, carpet and curtains are dirty. It needs a lot of reparation work and painting. Breakfast was really poor, not a lot of options. Nothing healthy. Yogurt, cereal and some very sweet breads. Very bad coffee and juice. That was it and there was not a lot of it. When we went to the room. There was no hand soap, shampoo, tv remote only had one battery. Sheets and towels did not seem very clean

Their was hair on the ground in the bathroom waiting for me when I went in (not ours as both my daughter and I have curly hair and this one was straight). The toilet paper roll was very low when we entered the room with no extra roll in the room. Three of the four light bulbs over the mirror in the bathroom were out and it was extremely dark over the mirror in the bathroom, due to this- not good for applying makeup or doing your hair. The other light in the bathroom closer to the toilet and shower was okay for seeing the hair on the ground and taking a shower. Room could use some touch up on the furniture.
Location was great. Easy to get to. Bedding was clean, pillows were good, mattress was comfortable. The staff was very friendly. They provided, supplies when asked for (towels, toilet paper). Bathroom was huge and shower was great with good pressure and hot & cold water. Parking was available close to the room. The flooring was nice in the room.

Initial customer service poor however service upon leaving was good. Bathroom in need of refurb and windows need cleaning. Bedside lighting does not work and plug point sparked when attempting to fix.
Comfortable beds, good sized room and air con. Slightly over priced in comparison to others on our trip but tolerable.

Good place for visiting Washington DC on a roadtrip. Price is better than staying directly in DC and parking is included. 10-15min Uber drive to National Mall, Congress etc. and there are also a couple of good restaurants nearby. The room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The motel could use a little renovation though.

The hotel needs a major renovation. The furniture was old and rickety. The curtains need replacing
The hotel is closed to stores, restaurants and bus stops. The room was adequately equipped for a comfortable stay. Despite the hotel conditions, I had a pleasant stay.

There is an old lady that was in the night shift in the front desk she was mean and extremely unhelpful. I asked her for extended check-out but she refused. I asked her to print few documents that I badly needed urgently and she refused to help. This women should not be working in helping guests.
The place is ideally located in the middle of the routes to reach MD or NOVA in no time. The morning staff and the gentlemen in the front desk were extremely helpful
