To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThe only thing we thought could have been better was that the bed was a little firm. We slept great but that was our only observation!
We visited NYC for 5 days and being located at the Kimpton Eventi seemed to put us in the middle of everything. Walking distance to the Empire State Building, Times Square, the MoMa, Rockefeller Center and more. We stayed on the top floor with an incredible view that was gorgeous morning, noon and night. The staff was attentive and even remembered our room number as we checked out. The lower restaurants were perfect for grabbing a drink before dinner reservations. You can easily have a cab from the front entrance. We really really enjoyed our stay.

location and comfort of room. Our car was sideswiped while unloading it to move our daughter into FIT. Someone in valet services took the time to clean it up as best as possible so we are very grateful for that. Above and beyond the service we expected from valet.

United States of AmericaBiggest dislike - when I had arrived with confirmation number, I wasn't in the system. This caused me to miss my dinner reservation, because it took a while to clear the confusion. Staff was nice, called booking.com on their own, treated me to a glass of wine, not sure if it's the hotel's fault or booking.com, but that was the only thing, that smudged my stay.
Hotel is clean, rooms are comfortable for Manhattan and nicely designed. Location is great, 7 minute walk from PennStation lots of bars/restaurants around.
