Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The location seemed a bit sketchy, but the woman who checked us in made sure to tell us the door was locked 24/7 so it felt secure.
The facility was clean, as were the rooms.

Location. Lots of sketchy people outside. They try to help that by putting up fences and locking the main doors so none of them can get inside, that helped.
Clean, secure, staff nice. Good breakfast in morning.

One of our rooms smelled like cigarettes. They were quick to switch our room. One of the toilets weren’t cleaned. Location. So many homeless and garbage. I don’t feel safe to walk to the restaurants near us.

Quite a few homeless in the area, a little sketchy.

The room we stayed in at was very comfortable. The only xomment I have was that the toilet smelled like urine a little so we had to wipe down the surface with disinfecting wipe since we we traveled with a child. Also, the elevator wasn’t working on the day we checked out which made carrying our luggages down difficult.
The property was located centrally and water, hot water and coffee were available 24/7. Also breakfast was a nice addition.

Was right off the main road and a lot of homeless walking around but you didn’t feel unsafe on the property at all.

It's across the street from a terrible drug addict culture that hang out at 7-11 mini grocery. You feel relatively safe inside the property, but when leaving by foot you can expect to see sketchy characters.

The number of transient people around the hotel was a little unnerving. The desk clerk had to run one of them off when one followed my girlfriend into the building. It would have been nice to have a bathtub/shower combo.
The bed was comfortable & the room was clean.

The coffee pot and no fan in the bathroom. I also was not thrilled about all the bums at 7-Eleven and the smell that they produced. The hotel its self was nice but felt uncomfortable outside.
Modernness of the room made it feel clean and welcoming.

Did not feel safe outside - extra precations are put in place to not allow people to walk in the front door - the neighborhood is very sketchy with homeless people wondering around - we were there when it was snowing - I felt so sorry for them but also felt leary to walk to my car alone as we watched from our window - it was sad. Location was great for freeway, and attractions - but it is city center and the area does not appear to be "safe"

Being next to that 7/11 is scary. It is overrun with homeless. No pool or hot tub. The bathroom are tight and awkward.
Nice clean and new facility. Okay breakfast. Quiet. Protected parking lot. Close to downtown. Friendly staff.

It is fairly close to services for the homeless and the neighborhood does have homeless people in the vicinity. That being said, all big cities are struggling with this issue. I had no problems walking the area day or night!
Easy access to my vehicle using my door key. The parking lot was fenced and well lit. The lobby was open and inviting. The staff greeted guests as they arrived and were eager to help me when I needed them.

The homeless situation is extremely bad. Across the street at the 7-11 was a non stop barrage on drug deals, illegal interactions, homeless getting into fits, and starting fires. It was nearly unbelievable how significant. I will say, the hotel has a fence around the entire property and they keep the doors locked and are very diligent. I didn’t feel unsafe inside the hotel. If you need to stay in this location, I don’t think there’s a better hotel. But there is a lot of action at all hours of the day, which also leads itself to a lot of noise, and it could make your trip uncomfortable. Something to consider.
The hotel was very clean, well stocked and had great service. The breakfast was good and maintained well.

My toilet seat was stained, and the bath compartment had hair strands. An indication cleaning was skipped. That are under the sink where folded clean towels were placed had some dust.

The breakfast was less than desirable as my coffee was cold and my wife's bagel had mold on it !
Loved the customer service, which is huge for me. If that isn't there I don't repeat business relationships.
