Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaRoom was quite big, but furnishings and decor in our room were dated. Bathrooms small and awkward. Two bathrooms in our suite!
Location was great, close to shopping, shops. Cool lobby, big room. Parking was nearby.

United States of AmericaHotel was very clean. Hotel is threadbare in a lot of places. The lobby furniture needs to be replaced/reupholstered/refinished. Paint was peeling off ceiling in the lobby.
Large room. Two bathrooms.

AustraliaNot the fault of the hotel but the drop off area for luggage and car valet was very busy on a main road. The staff were great at dealing with this though.
The hotel was a beautiful historical hotel with lovely interior. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Also lots of options around for dining. A great location close to the historical areas and the visitors center.

United States of AmericaParking comes at an extra charge and is a little further away from the hotel building itself. Travelling with a baby, there was a lot of stuff we had to get in an out of the car, which was inconvenient but not a deal breaker. Valet service is also available.
First hotel I ever stayed in that came with two bathrooms in one room! Wonderful views of the city. Historic building. Location is absolutely perfect - walking distance to the main restaurants and attractions.

United States of AmericaOverall the hotel is a little tired and in need of a refresh. I was expecting a queen sized bed which is what I booked. Perhaps the hotels idea of what a queen bed is differs from mine. Either way, the bed was pretty small.
The location was exactly where we wanted to be and the staff were both friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaThe rooms and lobby are in desperate need of a refresh. I'm sure that would equal an increase in rates, which would be a shame, but it feels dated and worn. That being said, we still stay here when we come to town because of the price point and convenience.
The staff is really helpful and friendly, and you can't beat the location or the price on the Charleston peninsula.

United States of AmericaThe beds are full size beds (not queen size) and pretty small for 2 adults and the bathroom was incredibly small with no ventilation system or vanity space to get ready. This was a girls trip and we made it work but the hotel does need some updating as the plumbing is sold old it has an old fashioned flush handle coming out the the wall. It would be nice if the lobby had a bar available for a cocktail.
The rate was much more reasonable than other nearby hotels and the property is in a good location with easy access to restaurants and shopping. The staff were accommodating and friendly which was appreciated.

United KingdomThis hotel was very well located for our first visit to Charleston. We were able to walk straight out of the hotel and start exploring. We were also able to park in the multi-story parking adjacent to the hotel, at a discounted price. We did not have breakfast included, but found it very easy to find breakfast options nearby.

NetherlandsBathroom is very small and outdated. Taking a shower in a very small bathtub with a curtain was not comfortable at all and not in line with the overall experience of the room/hotel. Our first room was located next to the ice machine and above the outdoor engines of the AC. That sound was terrible, but a very friendly receptionist directly helped us with the transfer to a new room. Please be careful when booking via booking.com as they are less flexible in selecting room with a kingsize bed via third party booking. Parking in the garage via the hotel is expensive and the restaurant below is terrible (staff and price/quality). So recommend to have breakfast outdoor (few nice spots within minute walking distance available).
Spacious and clean room, very comfortable beds and helpful staff when asking for a new room (due to the noise of the ice machine and the engine of the AC).

LuxembourgThe bathroom - I do not remember having seen such a small one in North America. It is more like something you would expect in certain European capitals... it was very clean though. The sound insulation is not the best - you hear partygoers even on the 11th floor....so on the lower ones...
The general feel of the property, very retro style, still looks like in the 30s (also the room deco - there is nothing modern there). Nice view over the city from the 11th floor. Friendly housekeeping and valet staff. The room size - except the bathroom - is quite good. Great location.
