On the site is says “breakfast included”, this turned out to be continental only. There is a sign that says”you can purchase a hot breakfast coupon for $10 at the front desk”. This was disappointing. We ended up finding a restaurant for our breakfast. When looking for amenities before booking, I wanted a restaurant inside the hotel and an available pool. This had both. Hawthorne bar and grill, Unfortunately was only open for the continental breakfast and the pool was not open for use. our stay was on 4/21. I would’ve thought it would be in season then. Hopefully it will be open for our next stay😊 Other than this, our stay was VERY quiet and relaxing.

Although it was an older property, there were definitely some updates, very clean and well taken care of. We felt safe and I didn’t have to spend an hour cleaning the room before we settled in! There were even vacuum lines on the plush chair in the room. This was a thoroughly clean room. Bathroom was exceptionally clean. bed was comfortable. In the past couple of month’s leading to my son’s wedding, I booked a different hotel and it was horrible (fake reviews). So happy with this booking 😊 It’s in downtown so there are stores, restaurants and shopping close by! We are planning a leisure weekend soon and will definitely book here again! Fred, the front desk gentleman was so kind. All staff were accommodating and pleasant. What a nice change from the “new normal “ negative personalities we’ve encountered lately!

Room access for luggage and car unloading from back of hotel only by steep and winding ramp. My husband uses only mobility scooter that was too large for the ramp and indoor lift. As there were stairs to access lobby and restaurant he could only reach them by riding the scooter outside around the building. It was rainy and cold so he had to stay in the room all but one day for breakfast . It was a very long walk to our room with boxes of breakfast items. Room service did not seem to be available. The wait time for the front desk was long due to the front desk personnel either not there or busy or answering phone. The elevators to the rooms were sooo tiny that the scooter barely fit in and the luggage carts only held small amounts , had no clothes rack. With food food clothes and medical equipment for 4 days to unload, that was 7 trips back and forth without help. There were only 2 handicapped spaces that were suitable for the scooter. Guests without placards kept filling those spaces overnight. The hotel did not register any license plate numbers so it was impossible to ask them to move. For this reason we will never stay at this facility again. It was exhausting awkward and embarrassing for us to deal with the accessibility issues without help.

Beautiful facility. Tile and marble flooring throughout halls and lobby. Clean low pile carpeting in rooms and halls to rooms. Beautiful swimming pool. Delicious for fee breakfast, tasty continental breakfast and really good coffee included with room fee. Room size over 400 square feet. Beds comfortable and large comfortable upholstered arm chair in room. Clear crisp flat screen TV with good channel selection. Lovely city view from full wall picture window. Housekeeping staff and restaurant staff friendly and attentive to our needs. Convenient to Old Salem, restaurants and strollway. Ample free parking.

The room size was comfortable. There wasn't too much noise coming from any of the rooms around me. The price was set at an affordable rate for a weekday.

The free breakfast is a little bit deceiving. The free version includes bagels, muffins, apples, juice, and coffee. If you want eggs or anything, hot, the price is $10 per person.

The property is right downtown close to many restaurants, which was awesome! We walked to a Mexican restaurant for dinner.

The breakfast! Had a lack of variety with food selections. Also teenagers were running up and down the hall knocking on doors. Also the AC unit was to loud.

The location and the cleanliness of the building. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Over all enjoyed my stay.

The bed is a bit firm for my liking, but not a deal breaker for me. I guess that's what happens when you have a 5 inches thick memory foam topper at home lol. But overall, I still give 8 out of 10

Pool unavailable, out of season and being repaired. All the electrical outlets in and around the desk weren't working. We had to use an extension cord for my husband's CPAP. Not enough towels provided.

5th floor had a nice view. Bed was comfortable. Luggage carts were convenient.
