Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A couple of things that distracted us from a 100% enjoyable experience. The room was very clean other than a used cotton ball next to the bed and I smashed a silver fish bug on the floor. The room's heater/cooling had a noisy fan all through the night. My wife has a difficult time walking, so we were bothered by the steps in the main hallway. The breakfast was not what was expected and very disappointing. The booking website should have stated this was high-carb breakfast and only take-out. These few things do not change our excellent rating.
The cost was appropriate. the staff was very nice and friendly.

Location was good, not far away from WFU Health Sciences. Breakfast is just coffee+muffin+granola bar.

there was no indication during reservation or anywhere on facility website that you had to be 21 to check in then when our group arrived TO CHECK IN, they were told they could not. Thankfully another church helped our group out!

No hot standard breakfast- coffee, eggs, bacon, grits, pancakes, ect
Breakfast sucked! Hotel really needs to start serving hot food for breakfast instead of handing out those bags with water and granola bars in them. I would choose another hotel just to get a hot breakfast in the morning !

We would have liked to have had the breakfast but it was mostly gone. There was smoking.
The staff was very pleasant and the rooms were extremely clean. It's a decent hotel close to everything.

Some mechanical maintenance is needed, such as tightening the shower curtain bar, tightening electrical outlets, and improving drainage of the tub. The heat pump unit in the room needs to be cleaned and inspected, because the fan could vibrate unpleasantly on low speed.
Location near Old Salem. View from the sixth floor. Very pleasant staff. Comfortable bed and pillows.👍😊

I have had surgery on both knees and there are a few steps from the front desk to the elevators and with luggage and other items, it was not as easy to get to the elevators as I have experienced at other hotels. There was no snack machine in the hotel and the restaurant was only open during breakfast.
The rate was good as during a storm on January 2-3, our power went out and the temperature dropped from 65-ish on Sunday to 40-ish on Monday which left us in the dark with no heat.

The room smelled like it hadn’t been opened in awhile. Smelled a little mildewy.
It had a very nice and welcoming lobby. Had a really nice shower and huge bathtub compared to most places.

There's not much to complain about, just like any other hotel it could be a little cleaner. I never feel like the room has been cleaned properly before the next guest arrives. Also at the time I was waiting for my duplicate license to arrive in the mail, and after making the payment, the receptionist told me I could not use the temporary paper id by the DMV to complete the booking. So I got back on booking.com and changed the name on the reservation, to my partners name, and under her name we paid again for the room. I've been trying to get that money back, but the hotel is ignoring the issue. i am hoping booking.com can help me get my first payment back.
The location and the view from our bedroom window was great! i live big windows on one of the top floors.

The staff couldn't have been kinder nor more helpful. We were there due to a medical emergency and they went out of their way to assist us. The Wifi is good and shower was great. Thanks to all.
