Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe discount package that they brag about is completely bogus and hard to justify the facility fee for what you were getting. Some staff we encountered were rude some were nice. I messaged through booking several times and got no response, I tried calling a few times to confirm early check in would be fine and either couldn’t reach anyone or once I think they answered on accident because they promptly hung up. The adult room in our 2 bedroom suite was tiny (literally you could verily walk around the full size bed) and poorly laid out (no bedside table, no plug in that you could get it) and the window was literally an arms length from the window.
Interesting theme and decor, loved that they had family room or 2 bedroom suites; flexibility with check in and check out times, and kids appreciated the lounge.

United States of AmericaThe mandatory $50 resort fee is a waste of money. There were no free water/soda to be located and there was no need for us to use the other possible perks.

United States of AmericaThe price was a little higher than I would like to have paid. The room was a little bit too dark. There weren’t enough lights in and around the bed area.
The hotel was close to where we were going to for a concert, easily walkable to anywhere.

United States of AmericaThe girls who checked in before us we're complaining because of the amount they were quoted, yet it could be they missed the fees and taxes.
Check-in was slow, yet the room was comfortable, clean and fairly new. Downstairs was a full kitchen, game room with ping-pong, small airhockey table and Foosball. The train track was next door yet I didn't hear it from our room.

United States of AmericaI booked the hotel from booking.com because it said $74. I was expecting to pay about $117 after taxes. Instead I paid $167! They put a $50 fee on which included a bunch of great deals. I was not in Chicago for those things, I just needed a place for 1 night. If you remove that $50 fee I will come back otherwise, I will not see you again. I will be coming back to that same area, but I will find a different hotel.

United States of AmericaIt’s weird that they charge your for any bedding, so you can have like a 10 day stay and they won’t change the sheets, if they do, it’s a lot more money.

United States of AmericaIt was very expensive (about 170, 180 $), and no services were provided. The central desk clerk was usually absent, and there was no coffee in the room, or welcoming items that should be included in the price. It was just the bare minimum room.
It's an industrial style room, and pretty big.
