Facility is old and needs upgrading.. It's location near UAB should be emphasized and the downtown location should be de-emphasized.. The city of Birmingham isn't doing any of the nearby businesses any favors.. Apparently they see no need to improve this part of the city.. it's sad and clearly shows where the priorities of Birmingham lay.. In light of all this.. Homewood should consider relocation..

Nothing, it was perfect.

This was one of, if not the best hotel experiences we've ever had. The staff were the most welcoming, friendly people we could have asked for. Tracey, Reginald, Ramona and Kaitlyn made us feel so welcome and so at home. They were all so sincerely interested in making sure we had a pleasant stay and we were genuinely sorry to have to say goodbye to them. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, and this was the first time I've received a phone call ahead of my stay to offer assistance and let me know how excited they are to welcome me. Reginald did just that, and my wife and I were blown away by the support and enthusiasm. The staff all paid so much attention to our dog and our one-year-old and made them feel very loved and safe. The staff social was great too, we got to hand out with them, see an incredible song and dance performance from Tracey, and were treated to complimentary food and drinks. It was a wonderful evening and one we won't forget. The location itself was fantastic, in a lovely neighbourhood with great cafes and restaurants. The hotel was spotless and our room there was our favourite of all the ones we stayed in in our 8-state road trip. It was huge, pristinely clean, and extremely comfortable. I can't recommend this place enough and want to extend my thanks once again to the staff for making it such a wonderful experience for our family.

Did not like having to pay $15 per night to park. Especially when you have already paid $400 for the room for 2 nights. Also being a Hilton rewards member should come in to play with parking.

Hotel did not have control, but loud garbage pick up at 6 am and drag racing in the middle of the night.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable with a working kitchen and near the hospital for my son. The hospitality staff, Shemekia, met me and my family with a smile and friendly conversation during our meals, and she made our stay much brighter.

There are only 2 elevators to the floors above 2 and only one was working and being shared with hotel staff. It took 30mins to go up or down due to the lack of functioning elevators, it made us late for our dinner reservation.

The parking is not manageable for people with young kids and luggage.

The rooms were spacious, there was an indoor pool, good breakfast, and a store. It was also safe and close to a lot of restaurants

I wish they would offer a discount to people that are there for medical reasons my wife is trying to get on the transplant list she has kidney failure it would help to get a break if she gets a transplant we will have to stay at another hotel that offers a discount

When we arrived the lady that checked us in was very welcoming, polite, and greeted me with a smile. All while her system had crashed she never onces showed any displeasure with the situation toward myself or any other guest. She was there the next morning when I checked out I wish I had written her name down, she is truly the face you want at every front desk.
