Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hotel does need some updates (new carpets and curtains, new lights etc.). And some deep cleaning. It looks like it's stuck in the 80s and for the price we paid, I expected a little better state.
The rooms were spacious and had all necessary amenities. Overall it was clean. The bed was comfortable. I didn't find any dirt anywhere. The staff were friendly.

Room was very sparsely furnished. It looked like there may have been water damage to the ceiling. Heard neighbor's TV all night, and there was a dog barking. Breakfast was so-so. The TV has bad static on the network channels.

The breakfast was not as stated In the listing on Booking.com as being "good". it was passable at best. The waffle maker was out of order and other choices were not great. The hallways and dining area smelled musty. Ceiling in dining area showed evidence of problems with roof leakage and showing what might be mold. Looks like the management is addressing roof concerns as new roofing was in progress. Hopefully they will also be looking at mold remediation after the roof is fixed.
The room was ok. It took a long time for the hot water to get to the sink/shower (>5 min) Appreciated the fact they accommodated changing the room to a non-smoking as we booked a smoking by mistake.

Hotel is old. Needs a major make over. Old carpets. Door for the bathroom is falling apart. Needs a lot of attention. It could be a really beautiful facility in the future.
Good breakfast and large room. Easy to get to town and the university.

Outside side door had lock removed. Anyone had access. Parking lot was very dark. It did not give a feeling of safety.
Breakfast was good. Location was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Pillows were lacking.

Just noticed some stains in the ceiling, some of the vending machines are not working.
The location, it was really peaceful and relaxing. The budget for the room was excellent for a night to rest.

The ceiling in the bedroom was water damaged and not repaired. Very unsightly, No elevator! Both my husband and I are senior citizens and had to carry a large suitcase up and down steps! This information should be included on your website, so that travelers can ask for a room on the first floor. It also would have been nice to have hard-boiled eggs as an option for the continental breakfast. I didn't see any.
Bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. The shower was forceful.

It could have been cleaner...still toothpaste spit on bathroom faucet, chair in room dirty and stinks. The toilet flushed very slowly and the entry door into the hallway did not work on c side. The coffee at breakfast smelled and tasted of mold. The TV in my mom's room was always snowy. The ac in my room..119.. did not keep my room cool at night.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The bed slept very good. My key cards worked great. TV in my room worked great.

Requested a roll away bed in advance.was told there was none when got there. when I stayed thanksgiving there was a lot of people there and I had requested a roll away bed in advance and got one.this time hardly anyone was there and didn't.makes no sense.also I got a smoking room with no ash trays,no tv guide and had to ask for ash tray and they didn't have a tv guide.

The exterior doors were taped so they wouldn't lock. The room had not been cleaned. We cleaned the toilet and shower ourselves and this seemed not only acceptable but normal to staff and confirmed by a long-term resident. They offer smoking/pet rooms and as a result, they disconnect the bathroom vent fans, but prefer to make it a maintenance issue that can't be addressed. The breakfast offered waffles as only hot meal choice, but given that the front desk clerk stocked and maintained it, that was understandable. The outside of the property was as neglected as the the interior (except for the lobby). It appears this location caters to long-term residents for cheap monthly rates. Old and outdated is one thing, but this place was dirty and disgusting.

Poor quality breakfast. Waffles, hot and cold cereal, some fruit and drinks all spread out in large area to make it look like there was more food. Location bad. Not very clean. Garbage left right outside one of the entrances. Not secure. You could just pull alternate entrance doors, no card necessary.. In a remote hillside location.
Great staff. Very courteous and helpful.

The front desk it seem like I was bothering him. My wife even tried to say hi and got no response when we book in and as we were leaving. The info that he did give was short I guess that was nice. The room was blah with a ordor. But for the price it was ok.
