The property was not in good shape; the pool was closed; the carpet had stains; the outside sidewalks were cracked and chipped. The place was at the end of a gravel road and seemed almost deserted. The breakfast was AWFUL. It looked as though someone had started to put out items and then stopped; for example, there was a warming tray with 3 sections but only one section had food -- sausages; there was a cereal dispenser unit with 3 places but only 2 had cereal, the 3rd was missing. There was no milk. There was little available in terms of muffins and bread and no butter.

The receptionist was friendly. The room was spacious and clean, the refrigerator was excellent, there was a coffee maker, the shower was good, and there was carpet and 2 chairs.

Understaff and not able to accommodate check in at 3pm per policy. Per front desk 60 people had checked out that morning and am sure this was known when booking prior to. Several people frustrated had places needed to be and unable to check in. We , however, were accommodated .

The room was advertised as smoke free. Obviously not the case, as it was saturated with cigarette smoke combined with a damp musty smell. There are no standard size pillows, just these four little square pillows, similar to throw pillows. The top bed covering had visible staining. From the outside entrance into the lower floor, when we came in there were chunks of dirt and mud all the way through the hallway, those were never swept up our entire visit. The breakfast is essentially coffee and bananas.

The outside of the building is well maintained and looks good.

They were not able to accommodate our rooms being close together because we needed a handicapped-accessible room and also a pet-friendly room. But it worked out OK.

No tissues to be had anywhere, and the toilet paper was dangerously close to empty with no spare rolls in sight. I had to venture out to get extra rolls, and found a maintenance cart in a room with some supplies.

The parking lot and its access needs a bit of upgrade. It has some rough spots but there was plenty of space to park since I was there on a weekday. The following is not necessarily a bad thing but worth noting: the hotel is up on a hill by itself, so it's away from a lot of urban 'noise' (good thing) but it is not walkable to any other eateries or shopping (again, not a bad thing for me on this particular trip).

Check-in and check-out processes went well. The room had the expected features and everything was workable. Breakfast also had the basics - could have either a 'hot' breakfast and / or have fruit / cererals and the sitting area for breakfast was roomy with good ambient light (windows).

The coffee was terrible and the breakfast could have had more fruit choices. The pillows were weird and small.

That breakfast didnt open before 7am. We had somewhere to be at 6:30am and didn't get to check out breakfast.

The room was good for what we weer using it for but i wish the breakfast opened earlier. We had somewhere to be at 630am and breakfast would have been a plus.

Breakfast could have used more selection and kid friendly items. Maybe fresh fruits or fruitloops and maybe some sort of meat. I heard one family say a couple of their kids couldn’t eat anything because they couldn’t have dairy and all the items available contained milk or egg.

The staff was amazing and super friendly check in was a breeze. One girl was in training and she was so sweet we didn’t mind her taking time to ask questions. We were from out of town so I think that made it a bit more confusing.

The shower plumbing in our unit needs to be replaced. Could not regulate the hot and cold water. It would changed temperature degree often and the shower plumbing was extremely different to find hot water and a middle between the extreme hot and cold.

In the room the shower looked like it was coming apart. The molding around the bathroom has seen better days. Room was not cleaned throughly.
